The Primavera will aim to kick off their 2013 championship run in style when they lock horns with Pro Vercelli at Stadio Piola on Saturday afternoon.
Following a long winter break, fully merited after the commendable efforts of Marco Baroni’s youngsters in a terrific first half of the season, the Bianconeri young guns are currently bracing themselves another five months of hard graft as they prepare to add another competition to their already hectic fixture list.
The Viareggio Cup, due to get underway on Monday 11 February, will see Juventus try and defend last year’s trophy success. The team will also return to their European commitments in the Next Generation Series knockout stages.
But before launching their assault on two prestigious trophies, Baroni’s side will vye for a place in the Coppa Italia final when they line up against arch rivals Torino in a double header semi-final at the end of January. The first leg will be played on 23 January, with the return encounter to be contested exactly seven days later.
