Real Madrid midfielder Pablo Garcia is at a loss to explain why David Beckham was sent-off against Valencia on Sunday.
The former Manchester United midfielder was dismissed for sarcastically applauding the referee after he was booked, although the Merengues will appeal.

"I don’t know why Beckham got sent off. Maybe it’s because he’s blond and pretty. Referees are capable of sending him off for that," Garcia.

"I can’t understand what the problem was. I doubt he said anything because Beckham doesn’t even speak Spanish that well - I can barely understand him on the pitch."
Meanwhile, England coach Sven Goran Eriksson has insisted Beckham’s recent red cards -he was also sent-off against Austria- will not deny him the captaincy.

"I don’t have any problem with him. He will be captain in Germany," Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News.

Anyway I watched ESPN Sportscentre and Becks has been cleared of his red card offence. He is fined 60 euros, yes 60 euros not 60 000 euros.
