@.zero didn't even know they broadcasted games like this — kinda cool
Imagine if all the action is down the other end, how shit would that be?

Must suck being Chelsea manager. I already feel bad for Enzo.

I don't, he pushed hard to get this job pitched his ideas to Boehly and he was gullable enough to buy into it seems, massive risk by the chelsea management given Poch got the team performing at the back end of last season only to basically reset itself this summer with more players and a new yet vastly unproven manager. I honestly don't see Enzo lasting the season top 4 race is hugely competitive this year, I might have felt differently if they kept with Poch and just built on the end of last season's performance. TBH even a lot of Leicester fans were somewhat critical of Enzo's tactics and he had by far the best team in the championship last season, this is a whole different level in a volatile environment.

Maresca chances would improve alot of they signed Osimhen or similar level top quality CF. They have amazing wing duo in Palmer and Nkunku, to waste those twos potential by having them next to a bum like Jackson is a shame.

Yeah Osimhen for them would be massive, but their overall roster is absolutely ridiculously overstacked. It’s going to be pretty difficult getting the combination right as often as they like. Plus..squad harmony will nosedive anyway when most of them don’t even get playing time.

I remember when Abrahimovic originally took over, they bought a ton of players and were over stacked as well, but Ranieri was a master of squad rotation so didn’t have issues. Wont be the case this time.

They stacked in depth but it's quite clear who are the best players. It's alot of young talented depth players who aren't ready to start on their bench (except old Sterling).

Their defence and midfield is set, and if we bench Lavia they started today because it's big game, for extra attacking player in Neto, then this is imo their best eleven:

That's a very competitive eleven in every position except the already mentionned Jackson. They need a significant upgrade on him. They may think Palmer and Nkunku can score striker numbers, Neto chips in a dozen, but even then it's big improvement for your team to sign extra quality striker. It's clear gaping hole for them.

Oh yeah, the squad is great for the most part. But just look at how lackadaisical they were on the second goal. Some of these players are in eternal vacations like Enzo. He just cares about money and Argentina.

Good, I hope they fail miserably then get hit with a massive punishment.
Hopefully

Keeper should have saved the second goal. I watched most of this game and it was very end to end but suffered a bit from being early season and very atypical frantic PL game that kept it interesting but generally made me feel very frustrated, and I don't care at all about either team. There was a lot of skill and athleticism on show but lacked cutting edge. But like I said, early season.

When I saw Todd Boehly leave after the second goal I presume he was getting on the phone to their transfer guy to see if he could sign another 3 players before the game finished.

Yeah, I watched that game and Jackson offside goal must be one of the most stupid CF moves. I mean what else is there for him to keep it onside? Palmer did all the job and this guy is just so sloppy sitting offside.

Chelsea literally have 2 full squads.
it's not a mess like it looks from outside is cute. if it's not pr and he really means it, then despite all the circus surrounding that club, in its operation chelsea still has some traces of intelligence and common sense, and they can protect maresca and their first first team (lol) from the obvious distractions. kudos to anyone who managed to achieve it

i despise chelsea but i can't wish ill to maresca. somehow i wish he manages to succeed. and by success i mean relative to this situation. if maresca manages to build a team with character and they can have some results then it's a huge success. a cl place would be a miracle

Training sessions are not behind closed doors, right? So that's easily verifiable. Although sports journos are not really that good in that kind of stuff.
I guess at the end of the mercato they'll have to leave some of these outside of EPL list so at least there's an end to Maresca's problem. Still very funny that they have 2 full squads.
