Bournemouth, Fulham and Nottingham are still shit tho. You’re overrating and overhyping them because of the league they play in.

Similar to Serie A, the PL is very strong in the top 7/8 teams then it’s absolute trash from 9th to 20th. The difference is, their top 7-8 teams are filled with much more quality than other leagues.
I have to admit I don't watch games. But I like transfermarkt lol. Half kidding. I do think its a decent indicator of a team's quality. You only have 2 truly cheap/small teams in Sheffield and Luton. Even Burnley would maybe fight on the first half of the table in Spain, Germany or Italy.

The league is a bit watered down, yes. Little to no defense, yes. But still, I think we've reached a point where these middling English teams are good and have talent. They are basically poaching almost every single young athletic and talented player in Europe, it's not even funny anymore.

could not find an open henry thread so posting this here. if anyone thinks that football is all about abilities take a look at this. it's his confidence that's incredible. guy is so cool, it's off the charts. zlatan, ronaldo, chiellini all scream this "i will do it and you can't stop me" attitude. i wish vlahovic had half of their confidence.

speaking of vlahovic, he looks... different? lol

cautiously optimistic about his season

Ofcourse he would have that confidence, Thierry would skin him alive til he walked home. Prime Thierry is like the GOAT of EPL. Only competition being the few years CR7 spent in EPL, when he was a winger, and not the goat assassin he became in Real.

But yeah confidence is defenitely the game, you could see it even more in more individualised sport like Basketball/NBA, the supreme confidence crazies just are too unrelenting to face.

Henry at Arsenal was such a sight to behold too. It's not just that he scored or went past defenders. It's the way he did it. Obviously the French are usually kind of disgusting with their 'I am better than you' attitude, but the way Henry just floated around the pitch made it the perfect combination.

Yep, he was graceful gazelle (he backed it up, so was more confidence then arrogance), the combo of that level of technique and speed was insane to watch in his prime. Floated is perfect description for him.

There's a youtube short combining the banter interview up there with highlights of Henry just destroying defenders with insanely fast runs, well worth the watch:

I think he's insufferable, same with zlatan. Try too hard. The most confident player i have seen is maybe romario with bergkamp close second.

it's just some light entertainment. for me he still oozes confidence facing that clown grealish. i don't remember him being a clown on the pitch, never once he was disrespectful or arrogant

bergkamp :delpiero: yeah, that's a good shout

They're starting to do it with coaches too. Was a bit surprised to see Emery take the Aston Villa job. De Zerbi and the Brentford guy look really promising as well.

It's part of the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well done Darwin
Salah's really leaning into the role of chance creator. Will likely give him longevity as he ages
