Wan-Bissaka and Maguire looked like world class players out there. People were laughing at Maguire and that price tag, but he leads that defense pretty damn well and he is already proved and established in their league. If Pogba is motivated and those strikers get something done more than once out of 3-4 games, they got a chance to make it to top 4.

Didn't watch. United that good or Chelsea that bad?
Chelsea was prob better on the 1st half, especially the last 25mins but in the 2nd half, Utd pretty much dominated it. Those 2 goals in 2 mins killed it, Kante came on like 20mins before the end when game was already 3-0, so it was what it was.

Some say it was basically a reserve team. Quite a few starters rested for the Supercup

Liverpool are playing Chelsea in the European Supercup on Wednesday. This will be a massacre.
Probably put out a semi-reserve team. It's a pretty much meaningless friendly and all the way over in Turkey. If it had been pre-season, maybe it'd be taken seriously, but it's not - they'll both prioritise the following weekend's PL fixtures.

It's a trophy. Watch them take it seriously. Chelsea rested players as well

I believe the players selected will take it seriously once they kick off. But I would be shocked if both managers went with their best XI. I'm open to be stand corrected though, we'll see.

It’s funny. A lot of people around the world says the result isn’t a fair end to how the game looked. Just look at this thread during the match.

It just proves that people today want style over substance.

The game ended 4-0, ffs

EL is worse though. Too many travelling.
No. No one cares about EL in a club as big as United, so no pressure. They only have to focus on the league.

Can't see Liverpool not taking any European trophy very seriously. Also I don't think Klopp really understands the idea that these early games are more like curtain-openers. He was incredulous that people didn't take the Charity Shield seriously, and called it "a final".
