 it sure sucks being an arsenal fan these days ( actually for the past 8 years at least)

jokes aside, i stumbled on a few youtube vid's made by regular fans and to be honest its heart breaking listening to them getting tortured by horrific performances. my cousin is a die hard arsenal fan, and whilst in the past i used to to get pretty annoyed with his delusional opinions, i think the only plus coming from their recent demise is the toning down of thier delusinal opinions. non the less it reminded me of the days when we had ferrara, and zacc god those were awuful times.... but also shows you the difference in club mentality between the board at juventus and arsenal. arsenal and their fans are being milked for every penny.

they definitely overpaid, but I think they also significantly improved their team, which cannot be said about Chelsea or Pool or Spurs f.e.
I don't think so. Bernardo Silva is good but they spent 150m on overhyped fullbacks and a goalkeeper. They should have bought at least one CB.

again, I agree that they spent way too much for what they got, no doubt. but those guys they bought in are in my eyes significantly better over what they had last season, they have potentially improved 4-5 starters in one summer, that's good

Its debatable whether they improved at all

Chelsea want backwards

United Improved cause Matic. Thats it.
they replaced all of their ageing fullbacks with new, young and better ones. they got B. Silva on top of an already WC attacking line of D. Silva, KDB, Aguero, GBJ. so they are definitely get better this season, ON PAPER. but thats the problem with them, they were better on paper last season too than the previous one, and the same many seasons before that, but the actual improvement on the pitch is minimal or non existent. expect the same this season (early CL exit, top4 in EPL but not the title)

Mendy is a very promising player. Danilo had a poor stint at Madrid but also has lots of potential. Lots of people wanted these two here at Juve.

Walker is a reliable EPL full back. He is nothing to die for but has been putting in good performances for spurs the last couple of years.

I would say thats a massive improvement on having to play fernandinho as full back because Kolarov and Zabaleta are always injured.

They have all they need on paper to compete for the EPL and go deep in the CL. Its up to pep to get those players to perform as a unit. No excuses for Pep. He and Mou have clearly the best squads in their leagues.

They had good fullbacks with alot of experience, they added newshits with a ton of hype that will need to integrate and be less reliable in europe

Their frontline gets some extra guy thats nice depth but doesnt improve the starting quality.

They got more depth. Thats all i'm calling it. ridiculously overhyped fullbacks

Agree about the fullbacks (except Mendy, he looks/looked like the real deal), but all of their previous ones were past it and they got younger. Hence why I said they improved on paper, but chemistry and all the stuff you mentioned isn't seen on paper which is why it don't matter.

Knowing Guardiola, BSilva will most likely play out wide right over Sterling/Sane or whoever, with DSilva and KDB in the middle and one of GBJ/Aguero as the lone striker. So he's an improvement over what they had as well, on paper. Will Pep make it work or not, that's another story, but he got himself a better team than last season

I don't see it making a massive difference. 3rd place again probably.
Agreed, it will be a standard season for them, 2nd place at the very best and CL Ro.16/QF depending on draw

I really dont get this.

Bitches got all the money in the world

United, City, Arsenal, Chelsea. Can have net spends of 100+mil. While also able to sell some player high

And they always end up with shitty, barely improved teams.

United took 5 steps cause some slutwhore at chelsea decided Matic had to GTFO.

Thats about it.

Gtfo, don't just look at the prices. Walker instead of Sagna, Danilo instead of Clichy and Mendy instead Kolarov are all significant improvements.

Bernardo Silva is top quality and potentially best value for money in this crazy summer.

They should signed a CB and perhaps ideally Fabinho instead of Fernandinho, but doesn't make those 4 purchases bad. The opposite. Only bad part they don't know how to negotiate, or care.

Their fullbacks were really shit last season, Danilo already looks very good for them, Mendy can be a beast as he showed in CL, and Walker is a no no sense reliable speedster. It will make a defenite difference.

Question is will it matter when Pep can't find any balance in coaching them?
