Pogba came off the bench, I know he's been injured but man, not a single correct pass, that's something.

I finally understand now when he said he was on vacation with us.

i don't want to be the guy defending him, but it's a bit harsh on pogba. i watched the 2nd half, pogba was probably the best united player on the pitch, and his passing seemed to be accurate as well. he had a couple of good long passes, too. i've seen him play much worse than that.

Most of users here dislike EPL and wish them nothing but hell, so why do you all watch this crap matches? :shifty:
I'm just curious, because I don't want to waste an evening watching Pogba playing crap, Costa scoring and Arsene managing Arsenal to a team with relegation potential..

Its not that we dislike the EPL, we like them to fail. So we love the competition, because nowhere in the world could you see such inflated egos on the basis of money alone. Come to think of it the good old EPL is providing a fairy-tale for modern kids: "Money is obviously not everything and even less so if you lack brains." Replaced Inter there. Add to that the cash-in bonus factor - whether you support a normal team or just play on a football manager, one cannot find it anything else but useful and fascinating to sell a mediocre player to an EPL team for the price of 2 WC ones. Even the chinese are harder to fool, despite having their first stadium built in the 90s. :p

On the results this round - it is perfect. Manchester United needs to concentrate on the EL and eventually lose it - perhaps on a 1/2 final - so their name doesn't even stay in the books. They finish 6th again, after spending 150 M pounds excluding golden handshakes with the likes of Schweinsteiger, and we are going to witness another few historic press conferences by Mou. Hopefully they will keep him for another year and give him even more money, before he gets the axe for the (by then) natural 6th place. Marchisio might fancy Manchester for another world record fee and 400k/w pounds on a 5 year contract... He has earned it!

Forget about Utd and top 4. They can win the EL and get to CL that way. In fact that gives you straight group stage spot. While 4th is preliminaries in august.

What is yuck in that case is that there will be 5 epl teams in CL. And we will never hear the end of it then in the media. How they are the best then cause they have 5 teams in CL compared to 4 from spain, 3 from italy etc.

It'll be even worse for their co-efficient TBH. THey already suck with 4 teams, with 5 they'll be even worse.

Is Mourinho using Luke Shaw as a punching bag to deflect attention away from his team, or as a last-ditch attempt to get something out of the player.

BTW Jesse Lingard about to sign a £120,000? You're having an absolute giggle, mate. The guy is bang average driving around in a £250,000 car.

Oh, and Liverpool have been banned for 1 (+1 suspended) year from signing academy players from PL and EFL teams, as a consequence for an illegal approach for a 12 year old from Stoke. Damn, that will show them! I imagine this happened all the time years ago, those (essentially bribing family) were standard tactics for Fergie when he wanted to sign young players.
