When was the last shrewd signing by a premier league top 6 team? It's just 40ml pounds here and there for above average players.
Liverpool have spent so much time not winning the league that there would need to be a complete overhaul in culture for it to happen now.
Gündogan, Mhikitaryan, Firmino, Countinho were all great signings value-for-dollar wise. I have nothing but contempt for English football, but speaking rationally, I think the latest 2 summers of great coaches going there will massively improve their league in all senses. Klopp, Mourinho, Conte, Poch, Pep are not the kind of managers who sign duds and underperform. With them on board, we can expect English transfers to be much better and also the football will (already has, arguably) improve in quality

they are probably thinking about when they had 8 pts over City 4-5 games till the end and still lost the title few years ago :hihi:
They go on a run of form against the shit teams of the League and now they are favourites to catch Chelsea.

ManU against the top 5. 1 win - 2 losses - 3 draws. 6 points from 6 matches. And now they are a title contender again.

Both Manchester clubs will make the CL btw. No way they drop out again
City's defence is still questionable but union is definitely making the CL. They look like a different side to the one month's ago. They've tightened their defence and pull goals from any of their 4-5 big names, so if one is having an off day the other does it.

Logical, he earns now around 70.000 pounds in a year and he can probably earn over 200.000 in a year in Emirates. I would do the same for sure. Footballers already earning millions and leave for more millions, in both issues they are millionaire. Clattenburg is now just a 'simple' citizen who has above average income. If he goes to Emirates he will be waaayy above it. They gap between 70.000 and 200.000+ (Don't know the exact amount) is really big in terms of standard of living and luxury.
