Vieira Hits Post In Juve Opener
7/17/2005 8:20:00 PM

Patrick Vieira hit a post and offered a couple illuminating passes in the player's opening game with Juventus.
Arsenal's former captain played the first 45 mintues of Juve's opening friendly of this pre-season against Serie C1 side Pavia.

After falling behind in the 20th minute through a Fasini strike, the Bianconeri evened the score on an own-goal by Pavia defender Gorini.

Then, on the stroke of half-time, Ibrahimovic handed his team the lead with a powerful and precise drive.

In the second half, goals by Mutu, Zalayeta, and Spagnoli fixed the final score on 5-1 for the Serie A champs.
