Benitez is a great Coach, although I am not a fan...tough to say anything about Ranieri really...I think it well depend on how we deal with the pressure situations at the fag end of the season...if there was a "name" Coach available I would say go for it, but all of them are quite secure in their current positions

Time to dig it up.

Alright,so here we go again...would you like to replace him?Or you want him to stay?If something happens eventually it will at the end of the season.

According to some sites we're thinking about Benitez taking his place.
To be honest, I'd keep Ranieri if Benitez is the alternative(I can't believe I just said that). He's a good coach but I can't stand his transfer politics. I don't want his Voronin's, Riera's, Benayoun's, Skrtel's and El Zhar's. He has a tendency to accumulate crap from all over the world, for every position on the pitch.

Though I hate that "he's Italian" arguement when it comes to players, I like the fact we always have a core of Italian players in the first 11. That will be put in serious risk if Benitez is the coach.

That said; I'd prefer Ranieri finding a new job. Just can't think of a plausible replacement TBH.

i feel the same. Honestly, i wouldn't want a coach who doesn't speak italian, who doesn't know italy nor the italian players (especially the young ones) and i wouldn't want a coach who has a transfer-policy like milan's or inter's.

IF we should change our coach, i think someone like prandelli should be able to do the job. And i'm not saying that prandelli will deliver better results than ranieri. Not at all. But prandelli is younger, maybe a little more risk-taking, and with him, we could make a long-term plan for the next seasons to come.

That being said, i don't think ranieri should necessarily be replaced as soon as possible. I rate prandelli very high, but he has a contract and everything, and as soon as we get the results, why change? Let him there at fiorentina gaining experience, and when the time comes, get him! no need to hurry.

Prandelli is 5 years younger that Ranieri, enough with this joke already.
Yeah but Ranieri is a manager for well over 20 years, Prandelli has 10 at max under his belt. In coaching terms, Prandelli is much younger. Age alone is not a factor in coaching jobs, experience is.

Did you just say that Ranieri is more experienced?

Well yeah. Isn't he?
He is. Did we conclude anything from the Prandelli is a younger coach argument?

Simply no. Prandelli is five years younger than Ranieri and much less experienced. Is he the better coach? Who fucking knows. Is Ranieri the better coach? Who the fucking knows. So enough with this bullshit already.

Yer...but I didn't advocate Prandelli being the better coach. I was just saying, he is a lot "younger" than those 5 years.

Are we expecting to field him for Nedved?

Because if we're not, I don't see why it would matter if the guy is as old as Carlo Mazzone.

FFS right i have bitten my tongue long enough on this, here does....

why are we being linked to a new coach, yet again? have we become so spoiled by success over the years that it has come to this? the way some folk act is childish, petty and very reminiscent of teh way Inter fans behaved for the best part of 20 years!

Ranieri is not perfect,fair enough
Ranieri is not glamorous enough,agreed
Ranieri is not brave enough, what would you rather lose 4-2 than win 1-0?
but

we are still i the hunt for the scudetto against the far superior squad that Inter DO have.
we topped a CL group that the naysayers and doubters thought we would struggle in.
we are still in the coppa italia :shifty:

and all of this with a board that is widely viewed as incompetent, a squad full of DM's and youngsters and a squad that has been decimated by injury.

now i ask you, when will you be satisfied? the same folk hounded Deschamps while he was in charge yet now call him back, they want Lippi despite the fact that he is content with the national team! they simply want Ranieri gone,no back-up plan, no concern about how happy and balanced the squad is,no clue! Ranieri may ot be the worlds best coach and i am not his biggest fan but the guy IS doing a very good job right now and unless they want us to end up like Milan did last season they will do well to leave him alone for teh time being

you spoke out of my mind.

i consider ranieri good enough while we are still rebuilding and perhaps we can even win something with him.
when he does reach the champions league next year i am totally satisfied as what we need is the constant income of the best european competition to regain some international reputation and with that better players will come.

let's wait until the end of the season to measure ranieris success.
first place would be amazing, second would be great, even third was ok for me ... anything less would be disappointing but as long as we have so many injuries you can not really blame ranieri for it, because he can not work miracles out of the few decent players we got...

Well said.

Results are all that matter, and were doing pretty well right now, even with a decimated squad.

nice post, Bozi...but anyone who knows just a thing or two about football realizes that this guy will not win any trophies with Juventus, and , after all, thats what we want, isnt it ??

Lampard said:
All games we lost were due to individual mistakes, not tactical
this has got to be one of the stupidest things ever posted on this forum

you have convinced me of 2 things, Lampard, first of all you dont know fuck all about football, and secondly, you are having a sexual affair with Ranieri

these can be the only 2 explanations as to why you would say something so stupid
