Duo discover Euro fate
Friday 30 July, 2004

Inter will have to beat Basel to qualify for the Champions’ League, while Juventus will play either Djurgarden or Kaunas.

The draw for the third qualifying round took place this morning with the Nerazzurri having the most difficult task out of the Italian duo.

Inter, who have never played the Swiss team in European competition, will play the first leg away from home.

Juventus will be confident of getting through to the Champions’ League proper given their opponents.

They will play either Djurgarden of Sweden or Lithuanian minnows Kaunas. They still need to play the return leg of their second round tie that currently stands at 0-0.

The Bianconeri will entertain their opponents at the Stadio Delle Alpi in the first leg of the match.

There was a chance that Juve or Inter could face Benfica but Giovanni Trapattoni’s side have been handed a tough test against Anderlecht in the tie of the round.

The games will take place on August 10/11 and August 24/25.

Don't worry, Djurgården'll probably screw up just to make my life miserable
There is a possibility that if the game is on 25th I can see it since I'll be comming home that day and I then I can stay in Stockholm instead of going home. If the game is played on the 24th, I can only hope that I'll meet Juve at the airport.

Inter got the hardest one
You must be referring to to Serie A team match-ups, as Benfica vs Anderlecht is clearly the match to watch here.
