If you believe in the dogma of your religion enough that you must follow it regarding birth control, then you should only have sex until you have your first child, then you should stop. I find that people who believe strongly in their chosen religion can do amazing things.
I am not talking about myself, I honestly don't know what my religion's stance on birth control. I was talking about this world's population, birth control collides with a major portion of the population. Not to mention that it could be statistically proven that birth rates decrease with education, a huge portion is also uneducated.

The real shit is women's equality paired with available contraceptives.

TBH, thigns wont probably be that bad in my lifetime, after that I dont really care.
That's pretty cynical and aren't you risking it a bit? I mean, the population is going to double in the next 30 years.

Ian, where do you get this claim that the Earth can only accomodate 1 billion people? I've never heard that theory before..

The world's fire marshall posted a maximum occupancy sign on the south pole. Roald Amundsen discovered it when he reached there in 1911.

I share the exact same mentality. Get rich, and run away somewhere from all the problems.

Okay man, you need to look outside the box for a minute. This is more important than the economy. If we start living in a more sustainable manner, we won't need as large a workforce, and everyone can still have food, clothing, and shelter. It will come down to that, as this gets worse. People all over the world already can't afford to buy food, clothes, or shelter. As the population problem gets worse, a greater percentage of worldwide population will be without food, clean water, shelter, or clothing.
Agreed. But Im looking at it from a realistic point of view. ;)

Its true, but he forgot to mention Americans. 1 billion Americans is the limit. You need to convert that into regular people.

WELL THERE IS NOT ONLY A PROBLEM THAT THE POPULATION IS RISING TOO FAST BUT IN MANY EUROPEAN COUNTRIES ESPECIALLY ITALY AND COUNTRIES LIKE AUSTRALIA THAT THE POPULTAION WILL START TO DECREASE. IF YOU LOOK UP THE DEMOGRAHPIC TRANSITION MODEL IT PREDICTS THIS. APPARNTLEY A STUDY SAYS IF THIS TREND CONTINUES, A COUNTRY LIKE ITALY IN 30 OR SO YEARS POPULATION WILL BE CUT IN HALF.
