I know what you mean, I have the same problem now.. I know for sure it's the laser because I can download demos from PSN and play them with no problems. You probably have the same problem too and it's probably dust in the PS3 that messes up the laser, I used vacuum cleaner on it but not sure how to clean it from the inside..

I tried Lens cleaner and that didn't work either. :-/

warranty usually does not include the lens. I have 3 years warranty but lens is not included

i dont really know what more they can do, i can only take their word on the fact they have implemented tighter security, whilst although we dont actually pay for the online service, i think giving members a months free playstation plus subscription is a nice gesture.

I meant I would've liked to see more compensation. But maybe I'm just underestimating a 30 month free subscription.

+ 2 out of 4 games for PSP users, but I don't expect too much of it. Probably some old/cheap Sony games
