everybody screams PaNiC BuY but not once a decent replacement for Todibo was mentioned here (that would go for loan+option to buy)
the decent replacement was calafiori. There should not have been option b or c. This is what happenen when the club wants to penny pinch every transfer but throws money recklessly at 4th goalies

I’m aware he’s played as a CB in a 4 man defence and may be competent, but having watched him quite a few times I do think his characteristics serve him best as RCB in a 3.
We’d essentially have 4 CBs who would all prefer to be in a back 3 because they aren’t reliable enough to play in a back 4 consistently in my opinion. Bremer may be an unknown quantity here.

I'm fine with being against the deal and seeing it as panic buy, it kinda is. But we don't need to invent reasons to be against it.

Yes he is a defensive fullback outside CB type of player but he excelled as CB in 4 man defence for over long period with Milan. We saw it with our eyes. So we don't need to try to paint it as he can't play there to be against the deal. I seen him handle Osimhen, Lukaku types in 4 man defence. He was reliable there for Milan.

For a club with money problems it sure likes wasting money on dealing djalo then alcaraz and now kalulu

yes I know you guys will say but it was small fee but add them up then it becomes big fee that could have been save in pocket

I'm more worried about the time wasted than the money. Another transfer window wasted buying back up players.

We had him. His name is Dean Huijsen.
The argument will be that we needed the plusvalenza. But if we made 13.7m profit from selling him.

The cost of bringing in Kalulu 3m + salary of 2.6m = 5.6m.
Cost of Djalo 3.6m fee over 2.5 years = 1.44m
Djalo ancillary fees = 1.5m
Djalo salary = 2.5m
Alcaraz loan fee + fees = 3.9m
Total = 14.94

So by avoiding needless deals we'd have been 1.2 million better off. I didn't even include any bonuses on the signings of Djalo, Alcaraz which I assume will have included something for CL qualification.
