oh ye, that was terrible and the biggst scandal in the WC 2002 (which for me does not count as a World cup)
I'm still not over it. People still talk about it, you know. It really was like "they sat around a table and decided to throw us out". I remember being furious when Italy was kicked about, but being even more outraged after Korea had played Spain. Till then I had been thinking it was such a disgrace against Italy that they wouldn't dare to do it again. That world cup was sold. Italy and Spain were robbed. It's probably the biggest WC scandal ever.

Interesting that no one seemed to have noticed the date I chose. How great people become irrelevant a few generations later...
What may be great for you doesnt nessecerily mean great for others....Stalin is definatly not on my top 10!!

Chosing a number two is tricky. Some frontier time (maybe among the first explorers in New Zealand?) or something really different (Aztecs or Rome at it's peak).
Or even Ancient Greece, also known as ' the dawn of civilised man'. But it depends on how early Ancient Greece you choose to live in, if you want to be a contemporary of Plato/Aristotle in the post 400BC, or about 900 BC in earlier civilisation in which Homer was supposed to of lived in.

When was homosexuality popular in Greece?
It got unpopular? ;) I'm not really sure it wasn't confined to some smaller term, but I think it was common throughout the classical era.

I was thinking about this lately and I really would not want a different nationality because well I have the two coolest ones in the world basically.

I would pick Catalan circa the 19th century and even present day. I love the Catalan way of life. It appeals to me.

Damn I forgot this thread. Looking back at my post, I feel like slapping myself lol.

Although I wouldn't trade my Pakistani background for anything else; I think I'd pick Gibraltar during the time of the Islamic Empire of Spain or 50's New York.

Fudge the past, I wanna live in the future. Year 9999 sounds interesting. Oh and nationality doesn't matter...
