Nick do you think he's consistent and tactically aware enough to be good for us? I like your posts, but I don't get what you see in him mate

He makes the odd bonehead mistake that is sometimes costly however I think Chiellini could cover them mistakes at times. Mexes is good with the ball unlike Chiellini so I think it's important we get a player who is comfortable in possession. It's been hard to judge him this season due to him being understudy to Burdisso alot.

We could risk Bonucci next to Chiellini but it does come with a risk. Like Dooz said if we can get Mexes for under 10m or a player plus cash deal for him we would be stupid not to play him.

Wish I could share your faith in him. Really do! Let's wait and see what happens :alen:

No.

Don't know, I was under the impression that people thought he was overrated around here. Guess I was off then.
This happens when you are linked with mediocre/cheap/old CB's all the time.

Last year on his contract plus one season spent mostly on ze bench.
You too? :p

Who would you prefer next to Chiellini next season Red? I always trust your judgement when it comes to defenders.

Daniel Agger would be ideal.

I don't find any of the centre backs Juve have been linked with to be particularly inspiring.

Bonucci is promising, but may well just be Barzagli or Legrottaglie.

Mexes is too inconsistent for my liking, but Mexes on a good day would be a good partner for Chiellini.

Isn't Agger a little too injury prone? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

I agree with you on the other part of your post. Not a big fan of either Bonucci, Kjaer or Mexes too, but will gladly have the latter over the other 2.
