Miccoli rejects Porto option Monday 14 May, 2007

Fabrizio Miccoli has told Juventus that he’s unwilling to join Porto given his time on loan with rivals Benfica.
The striker is set to return to parent club Juve at the end of this season and whispers claim that he may be offered to Porto as part of a proposed swoop to sign Pepe.
However, the Italian has this evening warned the Old Lady directors that such a move will not be given his seal of approval.
“I’ve read the reports about me being included in a Pepe swap,” noted the Lecce-born fantasista. “Nevertheless, if I continue to play my football over here then it will only be with Benfica.”
It’s unclear at this stage what Juventus will do with Miccoli once their return to Serie A has been confirmed.
Although he extended his Turin contract until 2010 last autumn, the former Perugia sensation may be sacrificed on the market.
