I'm wondering if someone knows what's wrong with my computer. When I boot it up it says disk error (0) on my number (1) drive or more accurately it sais "Error occured (0)" on disk 1, but everything works as perfect. I have no problems using any of my drives once my computer has started. It's been like this for a couple of months now. Once I'm in windows and run some standard tests I found it says everything's fine.
This wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for a friend of a friend of mine who has until Friday to decide whether he wants to buy my computer or not. I haven't told him yet about this issue but before he makes a purchase I of course will. I suspect it will cause to call the deal is off. Either way I will eventually have to fix this but I don't know what's wrong. What to do?
Edit: Come to think of it, I think the problem started when I changed my graphic card. I have a dell computer and the electric wires were rather short. And I have no idea what I'm doing every time I open things up down there. (Yes, I know, that's where the problem comes to begin with, but let me continue) Finally I found a electric wire that was long enough to use on my new card so I plugged it in. I started my computer but it sounded a bit too quiet so I opened it again. I noticed then that this card had two holes where one could plug in electric wires in. Unlike my previous one who only had one. Smarty pants me figured the card didn't have enough power and that's the cause of the "silence"; it didn't have the energy to use the fan. But I couldn't find any electric wire that was long enough to reach there. In the end I found one wire sticking out from the back of the same cable that was plugged into my hard drive. Could this have anything to do with my problem?
