I finally figured out what's been going on. The torturous nature of Juventus story and vibe is not a bad fate but a deliberate choice. That is what defines this club's uniqueness and sells their jerseys. That's why the management work around the clock to do everything possible to prevent the Champions League triumph.
Here's what likely happened several weeks after the CL final against Barcelona:
Agnelli (talking to the board during the secret meeting): "We were dangerously close to winning the trophy. We should never ever risk it again.
We thought that this manager that was fired from AC Milan was just mediocre enough to keep this club afloat, but he dared to try to win the Champions freaking League.
He must be punished for his irresponsible behavior. Sell the most valuable players to ensure that this guy has no chance to do it again."
And here's what probably happened during the half-time break in Cardiff:
Nedved (breaking into the dressing room, sweaty and furious, yelling at Max): "YOU ARE TRYING TO DO IT AGAIN, AREN'T YOU?! What the fuck are you doing?! Have you seriously decided to win this game?! Are you out of your mind?!"
Max: "Sorry, Pavel, we're just much better than Madrid. There's nothing I could do about it".
Nedved: "STOP! JUST STOP IT! I don't want to even listen to this bullshit! Just don't win it at all cost!"
Max: "But how will we explain it to the fans after such a powerful first half?"
Nedved: "I don't know, make something up. Tell them that Bonucci and Alves are just morons who let you down, everyone will buy it. Also, tell them that those players bullied Dybala. I don't like this guy and plan on swapping him for Lukaku in a year or two anyway".
Now everything adds up

What kind of posts? What's Nedveds role in the board? As some mentioned here his main assets are not accounting or managerial skills. Imo his job is to give face to the board since he's a club legend. What kind of communication with fans does he provide these last few days? People are losing their temper because of the sales we are strongly rumored to be making and we expect him to let us know what the fuck is going on. Do we have to swap superior players in Dybala and Cancelo for absolute cacks like Danilo and Lukaku because we are in financial difficulties? If so it is still hard to understand considering we have just brought a player for 80mln on lucrative wages accompanied by two freebies on heavy contracts as well. You can see the fan base is upset by the social media reactions.

I'm sorry, but the people who are losing their minds over transfer rumours deserve all they get. The transfer market now is just a horrible swamp of crap, for all clubs. Even if they turn into signings, this ecstasy to agony stuff from one rumour or transfer to the next is just sad. Paratici is walking on water after signing De Ligt, now it's Fabio Fica and Pavel Knobhead.
Why should we know every step of what is going on, how does that help in negotiations? Do you pretend to know about such dealings? I certainly don't.
Cancelo has been out of the door since the end of last season, that's obvious. I don't rate Lukaku but as far as I'm concerned we're swapping flopping strikers, not giving away the next Messi. If Paratici has a hard on for Lukaku then it's a decision he'll live or die by, but let's not talk like the die is cast on the signing or that him flopping is a given. Perhaps nothing will happen. I'd be just as happy to keep Higuain (who is more a direct replacement).
What's funny about it is that Paratici was the golden boy pulling all the strings behind the scenes when Scrooge Marotta was chief, now you've got two relative rookies (Nedved is almost a complete rookie) on the business side and yeah, it's not all as easy as it seems. Marotta has been doing it at a professional level since 1980. They are going to make mistakes and get criticism, but I prefer to react to actual mistakes. You do get the impression that there's been almost a sea change in culture at the club in terms of its modernisation, but we can't pretend that the club in the past hasn't been very cold with players, we did it all the time in the Moggi years treating fringe players almost like cattle, and before that there were very cut-throat decisions for important players. Dybala at this time is a poster player, so it shows you how far the club feel he has fallen if they are looking to sell him - we're all about image these days.

If THIS is what is driving the dumbest transfer swap I’ve ever heard of, then some people in high places at the club (eh em) have truly lost the plot.
Dybala is an elite attacker - two of previous three seasons ~20 goals, two of previous three seasons 7-10 assists — who had a down season amidst an immense tactical shakeup w the Robaldo arrival. Lukaku is an above-average attacker who may have broached the category of elite in one or two of his campaigns at....Everton, which leads to the next factor making this a complete fucking joke - lukaku needs space within which to isolate defenders and take advantage of them w his pace/power; and why else does he need this space? because it negates the effect of his bad ball control and interchange decisions in tight quarters. You get such space for your strikers how? By being a club that has to sit in low blocks against superior teams and gets attacking sustenance from countering. Does this seem applicable to Juve? To Sarriball? It is why, for the most part, Lukaku has been and has looked completely useless at United.
What is so hard to understand about this? The issue is that Dybala is not living up to his billing this pst season, and so the club must save face by being rid of his for avoidance of the..embarrassment..?? My head is exploding—somebody please wake me up from this nightmare..in such stark contrast to the successful summer we’d had.

think i might have been unclear here; my ire is not towards you for your theory that the club is selling because dybala didnt follow through on the stardom status he earned in the years prior.
i’m not sure whether or not you believe dybala deserves this skepticism, but the idea that the club is sooo skeptical, to the extent that on this basis theyd exchange him for a striker without touch or tactical awareness who has at most proven to be clinical against bottom-feeder epl midtable clubs and tiny eastern european country nts, is just shocking.
paulo was a successful, key player for us for two seasons before 18-19. at palermo, he contributed to 23 goals in the season before joining us. we bought him because we believed in his ability to provide us similar if not better output, and he did for two full seasons. he scuffles one season amidst the entire gravity of the team’s attacking style shifting away from his qualities (and towards a stagnant-midfield, cross-it-to-mandzukic-or-ronaldo style at that) and we lose faith in his ability? it’s baffling, and hopefully not true
