Nedved: Amauri Is Just What We Needed
Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved has spoken for the first time about Amauri's transfer to the Old Lady and the former Czech Republic international believes the Brazilian is just what the team needed.
Amauri signed for the Bianconeri two weeks ago in a €28m move from Sicilian outfit Palermo.
The Brazilian was courted by several top sides before making the switch to Turin and Nedved is confident that Amauri will do very well with his new side.
“I am delighted with Amauri's arrival,” Nedved told Juventus Channel.
“He is just the sort of player which was missing from the side.
“He is physically very strong and he has great technical abilities.
“Juventus have done really well to have bought him.”
No doubt Nedved and Amauri will be looking to achieve great things with Juve next term as the club tries to get itself back to the pinnacle of European football.
The Bianconeri will be challenging for the Champions League and this is one of the main reasons Amauri moved to the Olimpico.
La Vecchia Signora is still in the process of strengthening her squad and the very next arrival is believed to be Xabi Alonso from Liverpool.
The Spanish midfielder is on the verge of making his move to Serie A and all that is needed is confirmation from both clubs.
