Nedved Will Stay On At Juve – Boksic

Former Juventus star Alen Boksic believes that Pavel Nedved will end up staying on at the club next season.

The 35-year-old had seemed set to end his time with the Bianconeri at the end of last year’s successful Serie B promotion campaign.

He was eventually persuaded to stay on for one more year, and the former Czech Republic star has shown that he still has the ability to play at the top with some fine performances in recent months.

Ex-Croatia hero Boksic, who had a successful year with Juventus in 1996/97, believes that Nedved will stay on and play next season also.

"It will not take much to convince Pavel to stay,” said the ex-Marseille and Lazio hitman.

"He'll still want to be convinced ... but then where else can he go? There is nothing around better than Juve." :flag:

Nedved had been linked with a move to Japanese-side FC Tokyo last week, although it has since been revealed that these reports were bogus.

The midfielder has already hung up his international boots shortly after the 2006 World Cup in Germany, however there has been speculation that he may go back on this decision also in order to play at Euro 2008.

Juve Want Capel As Nedved Replacement – Report
Juventus want to sign Sevilla starlet Diego Capel in the summer as a replacement for Pavel Nedved, according to Tuttosport.

The 19-year-old is one of Spain’s most promising young players, and at the weekend he scored his first goal in La Liga against Barcelona.

With Juve’s current left-midfielder Pavel Nedved now 35 and possibly in his last season at the club, it is clear that a replacement needs to be found.

Capel has a minimum-fee release clause in his contract of just €12m and this is said to be very tempting to the Bianconeri hierarchy.

Capel is a pacy and skilful left-winger, who is nicknamed ‘Jose-Antonio Reyes’ due to his similarity in play to the Atletico Madrid man.

Others say that his style more resembles that of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, when the Welshman was younger.

Capel could be a good choice for Juventus, not only on the financial side, but also on the technical side, as the team has been hugely criticised for a lack of flair and creativity this season.

He's not worth €12m IMO
