imagine shitting on dybala after this game when we literally had 15 worse players on the pitch.

dybala won 12/15 duels (most on the pitch), made 3 tackles (joint best), provided 3 key passes and an assist, and was unlucky when he hit the post. i wish everyone did his job at the same level.
Against Sassuolo.

Assist...a free kick, ball not moving into a box with bodies flying everywhere. We were fortunate to have one of our guys finally land on it. Nice that he got an assist, but lets be real, it was a dead ball.

Great players make their own luck, he isn't great.

When he starts acting like a guy that ASKED for 15m salary in the majority of games he is fit for, then I'll shut up. I criticize just about everyone in attack, especially after yesterday. The guy is vice captain, wears a serious number for a big club. You bet your sweet tits he is up for scrutiny. Get used to it.

But he hasn't been dismal, he has made good contribution so far this season..injuries aside of course.

I dont think anyone at this club right now deserves more than 10m, one cuz none are in that superstar bracket and two the club can't afford it these days.

@Hust, in your opinion, right now, are we better with dybala in this team or not?

When he is injury free, in good/consistent form, closer to goal and not reaching back to midfield to get service, we are a better team. Problem is, that is almost never. He, tactically, is a round peg trying to be forced in a square lineup. It's far too hard to fit him in the lineup tactically where it suits him AND the team. Quite annoying.

I reiterate...for a player that was asking for 15,000,000 salary, not even close. He is on par with his current salary IMO. You can't be vice captain, ask for that much money, play at a club like this wearing that number and not act like it consistently. Ever since he had that MVP season, which his fans seems to revert back to, he has been agonizingly average. It's frustrating.

Valid points concerning salary, although I still don't think 15m was requested but let's say it was, totally agree. If others want to pay him that much then by all means leave.

In terms of his play, not being closer to goal, having to drop deep to get the ball and help create most likely falls onto allegri more so than dybala himself. We lack creativity in midfield so he has to sacrifice and help fill the gap. Not his fault. Not playing closer to goal is not his fault. The misfit or misuse of dybala falls on the manager, not himself. Unless dybala is not following instructions???

That's my two cents anyway.

dybala is forced to because the others can't hold the ball or pass. or run with ball.

chiesa drops deep to press and win balls when he dosn't need to and wastes energy. plays hard instead of smart

Do you think he would have if he had pirlo vidal and pogba in the team?
is it a coaching error then?

our squad is unbalanced. we can cherry pick anyone to put some blame on (dybala, allegri, morata, kulu, chiesa for that matter, we've seen it all in tuz), but ultimately it's paratici who purchased our current midfield. locatelli is a step in the right direction, but there's still a long way to go before we have a world beater team again.

our squad is the strongest in the league my ass.
