A lot comes down to the Dybala fans brushing off every bit of criticism as hate, when it's not.

I don't wanna renew with him for what he was asking for, because I'm concerned he can consistently perform at a high level, maintain his fitness/stay fit, and because I'm annoyed of him being always a puzzle to fit into any formation.

I'm not even debating he's great on his day.
Lets be objective : Seems like its a bit of both:

There are for sure fans that try to sugercoat the times he has been in terrible form and come with excuses for his inconsistency (fanboyism etc call it what u want), but there are also people that push the "soy boy" narrative amongst other ridiculous claims (like he doesnt love the club) to an embarrassing degree. This reveals some kind of uncalled hatred for a player that after all, has been one of our most important players the last years.

I totally understand that people get annoyed by him being a "puzzle" tho. He can be frustrating at times. Also im not sure who we could bring in atm that would do a better job than Dybala does: our finances are limited and the market is difficult. Im crossing my fingers he can rediscover his peak form: it is crucial as he is one of the few with a creative mind in this team and with some "clutch" in his repertoire

I've said it from the beginning that this guy should be sold. He by no means whatsoever had a terrible game, but it's because of his tactical inflexibility that I reckon Allegri insists on this 442. If we go back to 433 Chiesa will flourish on the right but what would happen to dybala? You can swap Chiesa for the left and Dybala for the right but dybs doesn't shine on the wing.

We played 442 when Dybala was injured, and we did the same last year. The tactic isn’t invented to build around Dybala, yet he somehow receives the blame for it. Hit the post and had a assist today, scored the penalty against Inter. He’s been producing even when the whole team was down.

It's incredible, somehow when he's unavailable we don't see this magical 4-3-3 that will cure our ills. Coincidentally our last Serie A title was with a mid field 3 and part of our last run to the CL final was with a narrow front 3 placing Dybala in the right half space, with great success.

Dybala's fault chiesa and cuadrado cant make simple passes. U see because of his tactical inflexibility, entire team turns into losers that cant make simple passes or stay in defensive positions to make sure we dont lose last 10 seconds of the game.

Nice assist, meh game.

Not a leader. Certainly not someone that is going to drag this team anywhere.
imagine shitting on dybala after this game when we literally had 15 worse players on the pitch.

dybala won 12/15 duels (most on the pitch), made 3 tackles (joint best), provided 3 key passes and an assist, and was unlucky when he hit the post. i wish everyone did his job at the same level.

The standards for Dybala are simply much higher than anyone else on this team.

Ronaldo could score one goal and do absolutely nothing for the remaining 89 minutes and he’d be praised.

Chiesa and Cuadrado are praised to the heavens when they do well, as they should, but are easily forgiven when they drop absolute stinkers.

Dybala is expected to be both the main creator and goalscorer of this team. He has Messi level expectations on him, and even when he plays well, for many it’s not good enough.

You forgot the part where Tuz is mad at him for not accepting Rabiot's and Ramsey's wages.

There has to be a whipping boy in every team right? Dybala can go on and score 20 goals this season and create another 10 and still get shat on by some in this forum.

This team has fundamental issues and I don't think dybala is one of them.
