again the gaslighting. do you guys see how the user continusly shifts the goalposts, always trying to make u question the player when things were out of the player's control (national achievements for example)

the user above then based on his own questions must believe that nedved is not among juve's greatest players of all time.

the poster above me has been gaslighting hard in this thread for last 2 or 3 years. ignore him. dybala has won almost everything for his club juventus. thats all that matters.
Platini won UEFA cup when it was arguably tougher to win than European Cup, then won European Cup, and also won Ballon d’Or 3 straight times.

I like Dybala, but he’s nowhere near guys like Del Piero and Platini lol

players can be legends in different ways bruh. we both know that.

del piero never won a ballon d'or yet he is regarded as best juventus player ever.

edit: also why do we care about national performances when discussing juventus players?

I didn’t say Dybala isn’t or won’t be a club legend. I like him, as I said, even if the last three years have dented this perception a little. Still grateful that he was/is a Juve player. His first 3 years here were phenomenal. But at the moment his Juve career is nothing close to the top tier of Juve legends like Del Piero, Platini, Boniperti, etc. He needs to rediscover his best form for a few more years or do some big things in Europe to get to that sort of level.

Dybala would have been destroyed during the days of Platini and early days of Del Piero. The guy can barely string a decent amount of games before being whisked away to some magical rehab facility in 80s Utopia Miami.

LOL imagine Dybala going up against Montero, Materazzi, etc.

Why, because he scored a PK?
Fuck off man. You're better than being a petty Pezevenki.

This is also true. Platini is, arguably, one of the top 10 players all time.

I also agree with this. A balanced rational man not allowing his emotional bias to guide his reasoning (oh wait, I allow my emotional bias to get the best of me sometimes).

Dybala is a Juve legend

Platini is a football legend

straightforward and simple

But once again, we can all recognize the vast gulf between guys like Del Piero, Buffon, Chiellini, Scirea, Zoff, Boniperti, Gentile, etc. and Dybala as far as Juve legends go. Dybala has a long ways to go and needs to return to his best to join those names.

To me Dybala is not a Juve legend, yet. He is in his 7th season with us and so far he had 2 very good seasons, 2 average and 2 weak. To me it's undecided yet what his status will be.
So far this season he looked very good almost always when he plays. Allegri certainly knows his place in the team and how to use him best. If Dybala makes a very good season, signs a new contract and in the next 4 years has 2-3 very good seasons with us - he'll be a Juve legend for me and most of the other fans.
I think he is capable of that even if he is a bit of a nuisance in the modern football where physical attributes like speed and strength are key, I actually like his quirky style when he is in top form. I like his ability to dribble in small areas and to link the play between midfield and attack.

For me it's up to him. If he fails it will be his own fault because he has the talent to leave a legacy for Juventus. Even our coach rates him highly and knows how to use him best. He has no excuses.
