Because next summer you have maybe a week or two to negotiate and if there's no agreement you have to sell him bc he'll leave for free in December next year.

I'm not saying give him 15 million, but I don't think he should be making less than someone like Bale or a fraction of Neymar's salary. Offering him 9 million though is insulting. If he wants 15, try to reach and compromise and settle @ 12.

I just find it amazing that he is the one young guy that we have had in the last 4 years that has outwardly professed how much he loves it here, wants to stay here, and wants to be the centerpiece of the project, and yet here we are.


I just think that there are certain people in this club that don't want him here, no matter what. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why.
