Look at the 2nd goal. He puts it on the left and the defender turns his whole body. Complete commitment to stop Dybala's left. All he has to do is touch it to his right and put the slightest shot on goal and it's in. And he did it. Full marks. Do it more.
:agree:
It was a moment of brilliance from him.
He has one of the best left foot in today's football. Imagine if he add unpredictability with his right.

Allegri had already said it months ago:

I won't be surprised if he done it already in training but he has to do more.

Pretty sure I said the last time he grabbed a goal that I hoped it turned his performances around but it hasn't been the case and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't again. I hope that's not the case but there's obviously some mental issue here and I don't understand why it is brought onto the pitch. Talk about image rights and such, then he's probably sulking about being benched.

His performance tonight went from a 4 to a 6.5 on the basis of a crucial goal (that was down to the sheer determination of Lichtsteiner) and then a very nice second. It doesn't erase the abject and disinterested hour but also he wasn't the only one to do that. Not really interested in all that happens with a two goal lead, everyone looks good then and especially at the end of a game.

Bits of quality are fine if they end up as goals or assists but in the long run he won't be achieving his personal goals, and more importantly we won't as a team if Dybala is only on the fringes of his world class best.
Yup. He looked like a pupil out of his depth until the goal.

This is a mental thing, im sure of it. He has not been enjoying his football the last months.

Hopefully the goals he scored to day can bring him back to full speed. He is the only real x — factor in this team

Salah is a good player who is in insane form right now, but an in-form Dybala is still better.
Dybala is more capable at creating a moment of magic to score a goal out of nowhere. But he is nowhere near as consistent as Salah who has been scoring and assisting regularly since his Fiorentina loan and progressively getting better and doing more since then.

Dybala's output is limited by Juve's style compared to Roma & liverpool's. But until he shows that consistency in our colors or some other team's, we are talking about his potential while Salah, has and is consistently delivering and improving for a number of years now. Try to point to a period for dybala that is as good or better than current salah form and you will see the difficulty.

The reason we see Dybala as better because in his flashes of magic we see the potential for real genius (and the fact that he is a Juve player and we are Juve fans) while salah's goals and assists are regular and not as flashy.

Credit to Dybala for working on his right leg.

He had become predictable and his shots were getting blocked all the time.

For example on his first goal, before he might have taken another touch to bring the ball to his left foot and would have invariably messed up or a defender would have recovered.

Now he needs to convert this form against the minnows of bologna and verona and step up against the big teams and especially the champions league.
