If he left for barca or real i can accept that..two great clubs that most players dream of playing at. They also offer the cash...so it makes sense.

But Man U? Ok they offer money...but why the fuck would you want to join them these days?

Pogba fucked up...lets hope dybala has more brains.

Not too long ago they considered him to be an overrated diver :touched:
That was back when Griezmann was guaranteed to join United because of Pogba and Beckham and everything. Griezmann snubbed them and it looks like he’s gonna join Barcelona instead. Now they’ve convinced themselves that they never wanted him in the first place. :touched:

Comical bunch of fans. Their delusion is matched only by Meelan fans.

We didn't give them anything. They came and offered a world record transfer fee. If they do the same for Dybala, or even close to breaking the record, then Juve has to listen. Dybala, or anyone not named Messi, is not worth 200m to us.

This argument has been debunked so many times now. If you are part of a project then money should not be an option. What happened to; this player is indispensable or not for sale? Look at Saurez for Liverpool for example, no amount of money was worth what they were offered, and it looks like they've learned their lesson with Coutinho. Look at Man Utd with De Gea and Bayern when Ribery was the next best thing? The best players win you the league end of. You think the money for Mbappe will benefit Monaco? Or how about you ask any Barcelona fan if they prefer the money they were given for Neymar or would of kept him? Pogba is actually the type of player we need at the moment, and I firmly believe we would have won the CL in 2017, if we have kept him. Fact is I don't blame Man Utd fans for getting hyped, because of the way we portrayed ourselves since 2015.

I hope the time when we are able to keep our best players arrive soon.

Breaking sale records is fine and dandy... but we would have been much better by keeping vidal and pogba, instead of having the sturaros, padoins and kediras.

So what's your suggestion? Keep players as slaves until they run down their contracts and underperform while doing it? hurting our team, our finanaces, and alienating every player out there that would have thought of joining us.

The management only accepted the highest possible fee and nothing else for a player that didn't want to stay with us. That's the most that we can ask for.

The team grows every time, we don't have a prince or a country shelling out hundreds of millions at a whim. We also don't have the income from the PL. The way we are run, the club and the squad grow every season. Its extremely clear that we have advanced by a LOT as an institution from where we were 7 years ago. Luckily we have the best management in world football that makes this football instead of having us fade to the obscurities of former glory.

We are not giving United a bargain by selling Pogba for 120m to them. We won't be giving anyone a bargain for Dybala if it comes to that. If we look at Juve's track record, Im reassured that if Dybala is sold, we'll come out stronger from it.

I gave you two examples in De Gea and Ribery, even Countinho has played well so far and he desperately wants to leave. The only recent exception I can think of is Sanchez but that's because Arsenal are awful. Players tend to change their mind, once they believe in the project again. I really think part of Pogba leaving was due to the Bayern game; reckon he might have thought this was evidence that 2015 was either a fluke or impossible to repeat now that Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal had left, and bought the hype of Mourinho going to Man Utd and bringing Ibrahimovic with him. Pogba would of most likely stayed if he reached the final in 2017, that would be enough evidence that 2015 was no fluke.

The irony of it all, is that we were once at this stage. Vidal was considered unsellable an we rejected numerous bids for him. Its once we started doing well in the CL that we began to sell our key players.

It will get worse not better because we are getting inflated out of the market.

If our commercial and TV revenues enabled us to have a 50 mill transfer budget a year or two ago, that money could afford much better players than it can afford you today. As the EPL and PSG money multiplies, it will be very very difficult to get top players because they will be too expensive for our revenues to cover. We will have to sell to be able to buy

Pogba was leaving sooner or later even if we had won the CL. He always was destined to leave and he even went to his "home" club, not to be a mercenary. He would rather be a United legend than a Juve one.

Bayern did keep Ribery but they also, more recently, lost Kroos. We also kept Buffon who had TONS of interest, but lost Pogba. Barca lost both Thiago and Neymar. United kept De Gea, but most importantly lost Cristiano Ronaldo, further back you have Beckham. Who can keep track of the talents that Chelsea has sold over the years. These things happen. The only club where this barely happens is Real Madrid because they've been obscenely rich for the longest time on top of their top prestige.

Alexis has this happening like you say. Another example is Tevez at City. Dortmund has lost way too much money on the table by being stubborn and having their players run out their contracts and leave for free. Schalke is about to lose Goretzka for 0 euros. Its a big risk.

In any case. We can debate forever, there is no need, we both have our opinions.

A different question. How much is Dybala worth to us? is he worth 80m? 120m? 200m? No amount of money? How much is he really doing for us and how can we use that money to keep improving the team? (4-3-3?).

Unless he majorly steps up, I'd take a massive bid (150+) and be happy.

I wouldn't be upset either if we rejected everything and chose to commit to him.
