Messi is oook. I've seen dozens of much better fk takers in my time. I wouldn't put him in a "best fk takers of all time" list.

This guy comes very close to Juninho in terms of distance and technique. He could do the "dead ball" technique from close or very far.

It's funny cuz when asked he always says he's better than Juninho, and tbh if he isn't he was at the very least just as good.


Juninho is probably my all time favorite because of one particular goal that's the most beautiful FK i've seen. But one that was a total master at it and is not as known outside Brazil as a genius FK taker, is Zico.

Why deny fact? Messi has become fantastic at freekicks , while Cristiano kept shooting himself to oblivion until he barely gets to take anymore or his fragile ego doesnt let him keep missing (he is lucky if he scores 1 per season lately). Past years he has one of the worst conversion rates in top football (past year is his highest in long time at 3 scored with 12% conversion rate), while Messi in comparison is just high high level. Have you seen him score 2 freekick goals in same game? I seen him do it twice, also has scored freekick goals in 3 games in a row (a record), he just become expert at it after being average/normal at it previous years.


He has done more then enough to not be compared to Ronaldo in this regard at all, with goals like these:

Messi last year was very good and GKs usually does very nice save against his FK... about CR7, I honestly believe almost any pro football player can do better than him... I'm sure he would end his career with at least three time more missed FK ever than anyone and at least twice of the shots in general

CR7 is great but honestly he would end his career like D'estafano did... huge for RM but not even near anyone books of the likes of Maradona, Pele and Messi...
