While I do not have a problem with our policy of letting players leave who don't want to be here anymore, it absolutely should not happen faster than 4 years for young players we have invested in. Vidal and Pogba were both here for 4 years. Bonucci for 7 years. Allowing Sandro or Dybala to leave after just 2 years (or even next summer after 3 years) is beyond stupid. These aren't 29-30 year old players we got for peanuts like Tevez, or even older and cheaper in the case of Alves, in the twilight of their careers. Those players are basically 1-2 year rentals. It's just fine for them to be shipped off after a year or two if that is what they desire. But young players like Dybala and Sandro who we invested 40mil and 26mil into respectively and have made integral parts of our squad should 100% be told they are staying here for a minimum 4 years because of that investment.
Hopefully we always have a core of a few top players (Italian and the occasional other) who we keep long-term and give continuity with, but for the rest, 4-5 years is manageable turnover, allows you to prepare to adequately replace players, allows you to build a team, figure out its best formation, tactics, etc., rejuvenate it with fresh faces, and so on and so forth. 2-3 years is bullshit for a young player we invested in, the turnover is way too fast, and does not allow the team to ever really come together and maximize any sort of potential. The last two summers was the end of a 4-5 year cycle and the beginning of a transformation. That's just fine and dandy, we ended up with a fantastic team this past year that was 1 terrible half of football from a perfect season... build on that... but it isn't alright if we are all of sudden starting to sell the young players we brought in to build this new Juventus over the last 2 years. Sandro and Dybala should not be allowed to leave for 2 more years minimum.
