Real supposedly offered 77m plus Morata, we responded with Modric or Kroos on top of that and they rejected. Pure speculation with probably zero basis in reality but that's a lot to say no to.

It is, but at some point we need to start retaining our star players. I was okay with Pogba leaving, because he clearly wanted to. Dybala has been much more enthusiastic about Juventus so far.

What if slowly he started showing that he clearly wanted to? The wrong message has already been sent since Vidal. Now we need a lot to recover the damage.

I shouldn't even be laughing it's sad.

Pogba was all about the money and hardly interested in his career. I don't even know if that dude likes football. Dybala is completely different.

Pogba loves football and he will write history and will be one of the greats, the talent he has is too much to just be clouded by money and fame. And I want to believe that Pogba would not have tried so hard to leave had we not sold Vidal and repeated over 27 times the fact that we sell as soon as a player asks to leave. Not only we mentioned it but we kept on repeating it as if wanting the players to come and ask to leave.

It's not about the players but the management. Their grip is too loose, and contracts hardly mean shit. An invaluable Vidal got sold for a pathetic 40mil because he had to go for whatever bizarre reasons. And you can't tell me 40 mil for player of Vidal's caliber is good money, it's pathetic, we could've shipped him to the EPL for an extra 25 easily.

As for Pogba they could've easily told him stfu your being sold next season and still made hefty profits. But their priorities aren't for the sport or the titles, but for the books and banks. It's going to be the same thing for Dybala, there will be very little effort in retaining the player.

Agree with the bolded part. Management needs to learn a few things from Tottenham's management or Bayern's management. They've got a tight grip on their players. You getting paid millions, ain't nobody holding you hostage.

We've won Serie A five times in a row. We look likely to win it a sixth. We played the CL final in 2015 and I truly believe we could have been contenders last season and will do well this season. Obviously I want us to keep on improving, but you guys appear to have forgotten all about 2007-2011.

I am really trying hard now to see where I mentioned anything about not winning, about the success we have been on, about not being contenders. I am also dying to understand how you concluded what I have forgotten and what I remember but keep on failing. You have obviously twisted my words to fit an argument that I am neither contradicting nor agreeing with.

But I also remember pre 2007-2011 when Juve was a gigantic club and behaved like one. When Moggi used to threaten/blackmail players he wanted out

Our players, stadium, trophy cabinet are all those of a big club, but our management doesn't seem to understand the position they're in. They're too quick to yield. Pogba situation is the perfect example. We would be in stronger position had we kept Pogba for just 1 more season and lost 15-20 mil extra on the sale and risk winning a treble. A midfield of Machisio as regista, Pjanic, Pogba is super good!! Not to mention Higuain and Dybala at the top.

All I'm saying is, it's great that Beppe buys on his own terms and I love it! But he should also release players on his own terms as well.

What shit Andries, please enlighten me. I simply mentioned our policy of selling players when they want out and repeating it in every transfer window in almost all our press conferences. I really admire the success we have been enjoying, I really appreciate the solid policy that our management has acquired to run the club, I see our potential in the competitions we participate in. So no, I wasn't pulling any shit on you, I got confused at how you brought something out of the blues to something I said. Are you interested in discussing that with me, please go back and quote what I said and start from there because anything you say to regarding this particular post now, I am not interested in discussing.

People are up in arms about our targets rejecting us...the "mighty" Juventus. Why then is that feeling not mutual from said people towards a player we have that asks to leave either because of more money or to a club that will win more? I'd think it should be worse to the players we paid well and gave faith/silverware in, no?

Of course, a target that rejects us is just another player, sometimes they are important sometimes they aren't but when our players who we made memories with, won trophies and above all got the club's faith and got developed to better players hurts more when they ask to leave. But then again, I do think that we are very soft on this front and our management like to make it heard and well known to everyone that if you ask to leave we won't stop in your way.
