If he stays for another 3 years here while wearing the #10, wouldn't make him disloyal if he moves to another club after that.

Wearing #10 doesn't necessarily guarantee that the player will stay for a long time. You can only expect that kind of loyalty with Italian players.

I hope Dybala keeps number 21. If he accepts the 10, it just shows his lack of belief and blindly following the big money marketing chunk of the number 10. Let the number 10 be reserved for a leader of this squad, not just give to a random rising star just to leave us for cash after we are serious contenders for the CL. Number 10 is a symbol of loyalty and leadership, I would give it to Gigi, Chielini, Bonucci or Marchisio because they're the only ones that represent the true Juventus values.
Wrong.

#10 is a marketing Jersey and will stay as one.

How many fans were actually going to purchase a Marchisio #10 Jersey over a Pogba #10 Jersey? Only hard-core Juventus followers.

The spike in Pogba shirt sales last season was down to the fact that plenty of casuals purchased it too.

Its annoying.

yeh yeh we need to sell shirts. but it doesnt make it less annoying.

The 10 just lost its inmaculate aura here already. Now is an adidas selling shirt. Nothing more nothing less.

Better for our finances but the shine is gone.

Good that you're waking up and smelling the cocoa beans.

10 is no longer mythical or sacred. It's a tool to get players over with the fans and marketers.

Dybala as a 10 would be great and I have more faith in him resisting offers than Pogba.

:agree: in fact if dybala wants to keep 21 thats good for us cause then we can give to someone else in the team who might want it (maybe pjanic) and keep 2 players happy
Yes, if available, give players the number they wants, just to keep them happy, and then they can build their careers on that number, make them marketable (like Martial ant Utd, when Zlatan took his number, he was quite unhappy) or whatever, but when the number acts like a pressure machine, like 10, then fuck it

Apparently it didnt make Tevez or Pogba decide to stay any longer. Though Tevez did do the shirt justice.
I think we all knew pogba wasn't staying and it was a money ploy. I didn't/ still don't think he should have gotten it from a fan perspective, but he's marketable and in the end € for the club is a good thing. I think it would be more marketable if you could keep a high profile player for a few more years with it though, I personally don't want to buy a new #10 every other year as it gets whored out. I think we are getting close to the point where we can start holding onto players more. The team has been looking more and more solid each year, and if We get far in UCL, we can transition better to being able to retain talent. I am optimistic dybala will stay for a couple years at least, maybe it's his deceptive baby face. My .02

The whole 10 has to stay for long time is a fantasy.

Sorry but you guys need to move on. Del piero is a once in a lifetime sort of player in terms of loyalty. Thinking every player has to be the same is fantasy talk and you are setting yourselves up for disappointment

We should freeze #10 since nobody is worth wearing it after Delis. Heck, while we are at it, we should freeze #17 too!!!

Dybala will say no. He said he wants to stay for a long time. Pogba never said that during his whole time at Juve.
I can definitely see Dybala staying here for a long time. He's commited himself on numerous occasion unlike Pogba who's been rather ambiguous when asked about his future.
