Iturbe for example has always been a headless chicken with a peanut sized brain and no end product. Sure he is fast and could dribble people in wide open areas, but has no close control or ability to move in closed spaces. Wasnt hard to see a failure coming for me.

Dybala will do fine here. He has many ways to get involved with the teams play: great vision, passing, his dribbling makes him tough to mark which will open up space for others, he can finish, he makes intelligent runs, etc. He has a pretty strong list of attributes.

Amauri was never a complete forward. 8 assists in the 3 seasons before Juve... eye for pass? What? Good dribble? Maybe on the following scale: Poor/Satisfactory/Good/Above Average/Excellent dribble?

The reason Amauri was such a detriment to the club was because of Secco and Co. Huge outlay for the transfer fee, huge salary -- around 4M (iirc?) -- which made him impossible to move, because he was an older player whose remaining earning power was quite limited, thus he refused to take a pay cut (he knew he'd never be able to make that lost money up with a new contract elsewhere). That would never happen with Dybala at Juventus.

I know you're trolling, but Amauri was 28 y/o when he transferred here -- there's no comparison between these players. He wasn't 21, having put the league on notice, while making everyone around him better because of his intelligence, his movement, vision, and work ethic. Dybala's going to work his ass off for the club, he's going to be awesome.

Btw, he outscored Trezeguet by 4 goals in Primera B, right before he transferred to Palermo.

Trez's 13 came in 19 games, though -- he was shredding that league. David should have been playing for us that year, he definitely had a couple more seasons left -- just needed a bit of time to get that knee back on point. Fuuuuuck, that was one move I sure wasn't happy about.

not to mention juve wasnt in good form as a team and that effect the growth of a player, not saying he is a great player but if any team in bad form the chance for any good player to fail is big.

Well I think we'll all be pretty happy.

It's important to remember that we're getting older, you and I. Our club hasn't really been able to operate in an elevated price range for awhile, and it's nerve wracking because inflation has been crazy - and because last time we made 25M+ purchases, they were very poor transactions for the club.

The thing to remember though, is that our club is healthy financially, and this young man does have a lot of suitors -- so even if things didn't work out as expected, somebody else would take him off our hands at a good price, seeing all that ability.

Also, obviously really hard to break into Argentina's attack as a 21 y/o, so that's not relevant in the way it could be. Some of the best of the best in that side. Also, if this guy had been playing in Europe and gotten that type of exposure, it's possible he'd be out of our price range. Really a shame what all that oil money has done to the market, it's crazy.

Morata has only really come into his own in the CL with more space in the attacking third. 8 league goals is very modest even alongside another forward who scores a lot, and I'd be surprised if Dybala got more than 8-12 goals next year considering our forward options.

Hopefully he gets 25 and just makes me look silly, but it's very doubtful.

How can anyone expect Dybala to reach 20 goals next season is beyond me. It's sort of similar to Morata doing it this past season, while waiting 60-70% of the season underway to earn a starting spot. The 2015/16 season, Tevez and Morata will be starters. Dybala is likely to be rather soon(if Allegri makes tactical changes ie 433) and given how much we've spent on him but in reality he'll have to beat Tevez to the spot, and that's one big mouthful.

Realistic Dybala will get to play a season like this one of Morata, and hopefully, play as important a role in some tournament as Morata did in CL.

Then, when Tevez is gone, Dybala and Morata will be like Del Piero and Trez

Bullshit, Zampa signed him for 12M from a second divison Argentine club, that's a massive outlay for a young player. Heaps of European clubs were on him. You're wrong, kitty.

yeah. I have no problem to not have that superstar goalscorer (and yet, we have one), I see no difference if there is one with 30 goals or three with 10. If anything, that sole goalscorer will get all the attention and when he is closed for all the game, then what? so i'm fine for dybala and morata getting 10-15 goals every season. And then there is always a chance for them to score more as they grow.

The only thing that concerns me a bit, is that I doubt dybala will get much international experience in the near future. Argentina's attack is stacked, this MIGHT hinder his development. Tevez does not play much in his NT now, but he has plenty of games under his belt, that surely made him grow up stronger in all the aspects. Morata uped a level (IMO) since his inclusion in Spain NT. That is a factor, lets not forget.
