Dybala had a lousy performance, not his fault entirely, as he is lost in this formation and he suffers from the current tactics set up. Yesterday, we played just like we did in the final and Dybala was just as bad...
He is a very capable player, with strong skills set and wonderful creative mind, he can feel the game and envision and then materialise the creative intervention we need to reach out target.
This tactical feel of our needs, reminds of DP, DP would dive deep to help the build up of our creative play, when needed, or finish the last pass, when and where needed.
Dybala is still expanding his role and skills and he can certainly adapt any role it is needed, live, as it is needed.
And where do we see him the most? Trying to link or midfield with or front lines. This is what we lack the most in our team!
This is why I am pointing out that we need a CAM more than everything else in our team, since last year.
This is where our Mercato has failed. This is why we need an offensive Central midfielder more than a DM. If we get a DM, Dybala will again fall back to try and help him into pushing the ball forward and neglect his final pass, that would procedee în a more free advanced role, a bit further in the field, where he can give his maximum.
Without such a player he is lost deep in the midfield, wasted mostly and his frustration gets the better of him. Esp against opposition that can threaten us. With the center of our midfield disconnected from the game we are forced to rely on our wingers, on desperate runs, or desperate long balls to our CF, in conditions where they desperately outnumbered and isolated.
This is exactly why we lost the two finals and why some of our players who usually perform, didn't!
The two new players we got, can help him with that role, but a CAM would maximize his impact. From our lot, only Marchisio can offer that, as Pjanic tends to be the man who connects our defense with our midfield. The sale of Rincon, Lemina and mandragora, means that smth is coming to fill that spot. Hopefully it will not be just a DM that can't offer nothing up-front...

Spoken like a true leader this is what a number 10 should sound like. The Cl final last year may have egnited a fire in him and the number wil turn him into a man.

To all you questioning Dybala's loyalty. The ball is now in our management's court. Finally a legend for the future.

Football Italia: Dybala: I’ll stay forever, if…

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has promised to “stay here forever if the President wants me to.”

Dybala has been regularly linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid, but speaking after his brace in the Supercoppa on Sunday, the Argentine vowed to spend the rest of his career with the Old Lady if Andrea Agnelli allowed it.

“I’m very happy at Juventus,” he told Sport Mediaset.

“I extended my contract three months ago, the club asked me to take their No 10 jersey, I thought about it for two days and said, 'why not?’

“I want to grow here. If the President wants me to, I’ll stay here forever.”

Still dont understand all the hate he gets here. I myself dont consider him the most important player for us and I think we could replace him easily, but love that he stays here. His young flashy player, who makes our play so much more enjoyable. With new guys i expect him to play even better as Costa and Berna will defo help him playmaking. Wha also great is what we could alrrady see yesterday - they will interchange their position during games which is really confusing for opponents.

OK he scored a great fk and a penalty, being harsh it's just two set pieces. But overall I thought his spirit didn't dampen, he was one of the few who consistently looked alert and had a bit of quality.

Seriously, he nearly made us have an undeserved victory, Dybala could not do shi*t in the first half because both Cuads and Khedira kept on losing the ball and Pjanic kept on passing backwards, I mean, there was 0 thru ball from Pjanic, no defense splitting passes, and then Khedira always trying to dribble into a crowd and 100% always losing the ball.. Dybala was probably the best player out of a bad bunch last night..

@Osman, @blondu and @Dru told you guys was management that pushed the shirt his way

@Fr3sh I have to admit man - Paulo was brilliant yesterday.

Hoping he'll be so consistently good as to convert me by the end of the year
Same I really do wish him the best, but I still havent completely forgiven him for ghosting in Cardiff.

i said pogba pushed for the 10. the difference is that dybala was just fine with 21 aswell...he was offered, he didn't demanded it. that labile worn the shirt a year for his personal reasons above all and left for money and greediness. i hope we can achieve a legend worthy of being called Del Piero heir, as Ale was Platini's heir.

Pogba didnt made the first step and asked for number 10. It was Khedira who wanted number 6. Khedira pushed for number 6 and he was thankful that Pogba gave him his number. And Pogba needed a new number so e took #10. It was like this.

Khedira had already taken 28 before Pogba was announced as the new 10. Then when the 6 became available again that is when Khedira took it.
