Mandzukic is a great striker, but I won't classify him as WC. Moreover, him and Higuain in tandem are painful to watch, so I hope Dybala gets back to full fitness ASAP.
:agree:

Was probably world class in his prime CL-winning form at Bayern, and is still a great striker... but that pairing is total cringe, especially with only 1 creative central player on the pitch. We need more creativity on the pitch. With Pjanic, Dybala, Sandro, and hopefully one of Alves/Cuadrado/Pjaca formation dependent we'd have 4 players capable of creating chances for either Higuain or Mandzu.

I hate the fact we played the supercoppa with only Pjanic after Sandro was injured, and then only Dybala because Allegri went full retard subbing one for the other. We literally played 100 minutes with one single creative player on the pitch which is a joke.

I want to see us go 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 in the CL, with Pjaca/Cuadrado, Dybala, Higuain, and Pjanic all on the pitch at once. In that formation we can deploy Marchisio and Rincon as the 2 CMs. I'd also love it if Allegri stopped playing Evra in CL games ffs!

Dude, with Alves out for the Rof16 we might see a Licht-Evra duo.

Juventus will discuss the renewal of Dybala in mid-January. Juve are offering Dybala a contract worth €5.5m/yr. [Il Messaggero]

Dybala wants a salary close to €7m. [Il Messaggero]

Not even great. He's just a good decent striker whose weaknesses are masked by his defensive work rate. Dybala is fully fit. It's just that Mandzukic needs to be relegated to the bench ASAP.

He is closer to decent than he is to world class ::lol3::

Only you and a couple other jabroni's think he is WC. 90% of the footballing world doesn't. Or let me say 98% rather.

maybe for Juve level he is decent and not great, but then again, there are like 10 or maybe 15 strikers in the world who are more than decent for Juve level.

It's 2017 son. His time at the top is up.

Forget top foreign teams, he wouldn't start in any of the top Italian teams. Wouldn't start at Inter or Roma. And definitely doesn't suit the style of football Napoli play. Only Milan is a realistic option.

He has had a good run of form in the past few games but man really , the time has come to start your best offensive players week in week out. Beyond me how Dybala-Higuaín haven't started consecutive games together yet.

He's a good backup though. No doubt about that.

bonucci is a decent defender whose weaknesses are masked by his long passes.
pirlo was a decent midfielder whose weaknesses were masked by his freekicks and throughballs.
marchisio is a decent midfielder whose weaknesses are masked by his ball holding abilities.
cannavaro was a decent defender whose weaknesses were masked by his positioning.

my point is that mandzu's workrate easily makes him a great striker. he's not wc, but calling him decent is an insult towards him.

His primary duty is to score. Saying his defensive work rate enhances his quality AS A CENTER FORWARD is about the same as saying Evra scoring goals enhances his quality AS A DEFENDER.

It's an added bonus but running 20 kms each game or making slide tackles is not what he was purchased for.
