So he comes in, the match is done and dusted, no pressure and no expectations. What does he do? Plays like there's a ton on his shoulders and messes up every ball he touches.

Exactly. You can tell there is too much pressure on him. Could have just kept it simple and just move the ball with as little risk as possible, best thing for us at that point, but he played like he needed to go out and make a comeback to win a match and it went wrong.

Needs a few personal wins to come out of this mental state.

He apparently can't do simple things. I call it a Bonucci-Longball syndrome. When you fuck your whole team over doing complicated things when a simple thing will work even better.
