Well, from what I understand about our finances, we are still someway off being in a position to shell out massive sums of money for players, despite the growing income from TV rights, Champions League success, sponsorship etc etc. Although, I understand we have moved back into the black after many years of indebtedness, by a fairly modest figure, there would have to be some especially shrewd negotiation with Zamparini to exact a settlement that left enough to strengthen other parts of our squad. At this point I should say that I have seen Dybala a few times this season and can amplify Rollie comments about his technical prowess, his vision and his passing ability. He is most definitely a very talented footballer and can only get better.
In order to offset the likely fee that would be realistic, doubtless our management are actively listening to potential or active offers for Fernando Llorente. Although newspaper reports in the last 14 days have referred to both interest from Tottenham and Barcelona, I would not really expect too much cash from his sale, given his age. Clearly the whole thing of making definitive moves in the transfer market still seems predicated on whether or not Pogba remains at the club. If not then Dybala is clearly available with the rest of the money being used to bring in the Pogba midfield replacement.
So, it's no use Zamparini tell Marotta to get his skates on whilst we are still unsure about our likely spending pot from any transfer sales and any further boosts to our coffers from winning the last 8 tie against Monaco. Agnelli has too much commomsense to squander the efforts over the last 6 years in restoring the financial fortunes back to profitability.
I'd be interested to know what - in pure cash terms - what would be a realistic settlement with Palermo for Dybala, Dybala & Vazquez combined, and what leverage we might have in getting part of the fee offset by including anyone ( who might be considered ) from the Juve squad as part of the deal.
