How did Giovinco get into this? There are no similarities between the two, different physique, characteristics; Dybala in a few years will be among the best forwards in Europe. This is 60-70m player we're talking about, at least, potential that this kid has is incredible.

I've read here that it's ridiculous price since we could have brought him for free next year. Well good luck with that, another season like this and you'd see the likes of Bayern, Real, Barca, or EPL clubs competing for his signature.

For 3 years, all we've heard is whining that Marotta can't sign expensive players, that our board won't allow us any funds to go after 30 mil + players.

Now, we're about to sign a 30mil rated player, and there is so much ridiculous whining in this thread about Dybala being the wrong 30mil player, a 30mil player who is not worth 30 mil. How the heck do all these 'Tuz armchair pundits know this? The kid is in demand in that price range. We're not going to get a Sanchez or a Cavani or some other such already established 22-26 year old star for 30mil. That's not the market. At 30mil, we have to be willing to take more of a risk on a younger player, or be willing to sing a 28-30 year old with little resale value (who will still probably cost more).

This deal is exactly what it should be (assuming numbers in the 30-35 mil range are correct after bonuses). It's not a steal for us, and it's not highway robbery by Palermo.

Basically average tuz poster in a nutshell:

Complain when you sign squad player level players for 10m+, and say why we never go for bigger talents for bigger sums instead of 2-3 of these players. You get that (Morata, Dybala), and still complain even harder that it isnt worth doing this...

See said players be absolute success, and still stay quiet like a mouse and never acknowledge how wrong you were (I was very wrong about Morata), and keep bitching about our managements decisions when next deal is reported to happen.

I've said it before. Marotta would not spend this kind of money on the kid unless they really believe in him. And at this point in Beppe and Paratici's tenure, I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

What is just as disturbing is when someone says "if Juve are going to spend that much on this player, then they should instead spend it on (insert player here)".

Problem is, (insert player here), is usually never available in the first place

I've been wrong about multiple players. Acknowledging that actually feels good, laughing at yourself a little for the silliness of trying to predict which transfer will flop and which will become world class, and all the in-between. It's amusing. And it's even more amusing to laugh about it later with everyone on the forum, jest with each other.

I don't get the "never admit being wrong" attitude... It's silly. Oh well.

Shit, I thought Aguero was overrated massively when we were vying with ManCity for his signature. How cringeworthy is that.
