I watched him from the stands during Fiorentina-Juventus in 2016. Easily one of the best individual performances I have ever seen live. If I think back to players I've actually seen play in a stadium and look at individual performances, I think my top three is probably Del Piero, Pogba and Hazard. As a midfielder no one even comes close. As soon as he touched the ball you know he was just one of those players who were on a different planet.

You can't really say his career flopped. The man won the World Cup in 2018 scoring in the final and being absolutely massive for France throughout the tournament. He won 4 Serie A titles, making the team of the year in each of those seasons. Won a Europa League as well. Clearly something went wrong at United and he had his personal struggles, but it's still a great career.
