His signing was just a statement so United could feel relevant again because they have been unable to move on from the Fergie years.
Stupid to spend so much money on one player and not even attempt to accommodate him to get the best out of him.
I'm sure he will eventually come good because he's got the talent but still a big waste of money

I always hear EPL fans sugar coating his performances. I haven't seen one game this season in which he's even come close to the level he was at Juve. They just don't know (or probably don't want to know) how good he really should be. His touch and his control, two of maybe the best things about him, are completely shot. It's not that he's just not as good as he was at Juve. He's become a bad player.
To be honest he was starting to get corrupted in his final year with us. Some nonchalant displays, always moaning at everything that went wrong, screaming at teammates.... the graffiti on his shirt and socks...
He kind of picked it up nearing the end of the season... but that transfer fucked him up for good.. or at least until he does a deep analysis of his shortcomings and does something

I watched mu maybe 8-10 times this season. Pogba often underperformed + usual antics, moaning etc. But yesterday he was really bad, like Fellaini-bad, Mou is running him into ground. He is still a great player, but things going this way next season (I don't believe that Mou is able to turn this ship around, mu is on the 6 spot only because of the Ibra) and thats might be it for him there.

When you are spending that kind of money on a midfielder, it should be the type of player that can play ANYWHERE in midfield. You don't spend that kind of money for someone like Pogba unless he is a transcendental talent that could you could put anywhere in the middle of the pitch.
That is what they paid for. That is not what they are getting. And that is all on him. With his skill set, he should be able to adapt on the fly to whatever the situation presented to him

Not really, he has the skills... but he lacks everything else. Tactical discipline, football intelligence, hardwork, seriousness. He just lacks everything nowadays. On op of that, Mourinho is also handling him unproperly... and thats his fault and ManU for planning badly that purchase, They dont needed Pogba. Pogba doesnt needed them.
Pogba is trying to be a star too fast without doing his homework. he needs to really step down and start getting tutored or something... because right now he is a mess of a hollywood footballer.

But like u said, in the end they paid a luxury price... a price you pay for the likes of Messi, Cr7, Iniesta(prime), Buffon(younger). Players that are for sure trascendent and ensured quality.

"hey what can go wrong? he obvs doesnt cost that money, but he is hype and will for sure score some screamers!!. For a marketing POV, its a jackpot! lets do it!".

He didn't lack those traits, or did not show a lack of them to the degree that he has now while he was with us though. You spend that kind of money for a midfielder, you expect a complete one, and their ROI right now is not there, but that is not Man U's fault, it is his.

I think its a fault of both. They shoudl have never paid that money because even when the potential was there... there were some doubts. In the end, they estimated his value that high, and it seems that their estimation was off the charts.

On Pogba´s side... its also his fault for overestimating his capabilities and not taking in account everything involved (how he developed and was pampered at Juve, the high expectations he was going to generate, the state in which ManU was.) Also Pogba seems to be full of himself even today, thats also his fault because he just doesnt wanna see his reality. He needs to work harder and accept he is not that world beater who can conquer midfields alone, at least not yet.

Yep. He talks a big game, talks about the ballon d'Or, being the best player in the world (not even just CM)... but the best mid shouldn't be completely useless outside of playing LCM in a midfield 3 with a pitbull like Vidal so he can ignore his defensive duties, and a general like Pirlo/Marchisio so he doesn't have to be responsible for build-up play.
He's mediocre in a 2 man mid, he's poor playing CAM, he's awful as a regista... not exactly the most versatile CM, Pogba. And he hasn't been particularly great in a 3-man mid for United, as apparently his midfield partners aren't good enough and don't suit him.
