JCK thought i was a pogba fanboy last week and i quoted all the instances when i was critical of pogba, then he later admitted that i was one of the few that never changed my opinion about pogba.

I think some of the posts are pretty fair.

Not the Pjanic > Pogba posts of course but Juventus fans over the years have overrated him too much.

He still has some way to go before being put on the level of some legendary midfielders. It was laughable to read some of the posts last season really. And he is not the best CM right now. I would've said this even last year but I would've got bashed for saying that.

As of now , it's an absolute fact that he can't carry a midfield. He thrives best in an already well functioning midfield not when he's asked to be the leader of the pack. We've seen this both with France and Juventus. It's fanboyism to disagree about this.

Pogba is complete but he's still developing.

Dybala has shown he can be a leader already just like Vidal. It would hurt to lose him, not Pogba. It's not hurting losing him at all.

Pogba at juventus was the bomb when the team works. Compare it with a clinical forward to a hugely creative team, its a disgustingly good added bonus.


Pogba... If your team is a well oiled machine and the midfield is rocksolid, Pogba is an insane addition. He'll decide games, and he'll get good numbers, but your midfield needs to work and carry him. I honestly dont really see why putting the finger on this fact is such a problem ?

I absolutely hate how some go like "he'll be a bigger star in their team cause it has less stars". What incredible bullshit. Pogba can become the biggest star he can be, at this very juventus. Where on earth can you play your 100% naturally preferred role with everyone supporting you in some way ? Where ?

He had such insane potential, he could be so insanely decisive, at juventus or similar midfield. Bayern would probably be his best alternative.


But he went to Manchester. He cant carry a midfield, so its a huge mistake.



People need to get off their high horse and look at the simple facts : Pogba works when the other midfielders work. They make him work, not the other way around.
Again, there is nothing wrong with that. A stacked team upgrading with pogba is one of the best things you can do.

But if you have a crappy midfield, buy something else. Like verratti or Marchisio. They uplift whatever they put around them

Verratti will make your midfield play incredibly good, and is a very complete skillfull player who is defensively better then Pogba aside of the physical aspect, and is very consistant and efficient

Pogba is an incredibly decisive addition to a perfectly working midfield that is allready carrying the team. The decisiveness he adds is greater then any other cm can add to an allready good midfield.



Verratti is the player you get and build you midfield with. Pogba is the guy you finish it off with.

none, because they are worse at their job. that is mainly because many agents of rising stars are their family members and so they are interested to get a little money but stay at the same city to leech of the players success and money, but not to much to have to move every year, but that is not professional.

if he manages to make every of his clients change club every year and cash in, well done. he is doing the job because he wants to earn money and not because he likes to touch young boys or likes to caress them

Verratti is quite average in a lot of games but people wont notice it because no one watches PSG, and he gets hyped quite a lot based on one performance vs Barcelona. Truth is, PSG had no problem outplaying City in both games this season without him but were let down by their poor finishing. Not once during those games would anyone think "oh, they miss Verratti so much here" but more like "if Ibra scored those 2 sitters and his PK, they would be trough". Without a quality 4th mid, we would certainly miss Pogba more last season than PSG misses Verratti, as they easily roflstomp most of their opponents and hold their own against the better teams without him. Oh and he doesent even come close to Pogbas offensive output in terms of goals assists

This. Aside from being different types of players and having different effects on matches... The difference in quality at the very top between players like Verratti and Pogba is minuscule.

This leads me to believe that Pogba has the higher ceiling... Obviously they are on similar level. Pogba has times in a perfectly functionning team where he'll rise above, as PI said. Verratti makes his team function perfectly all season round. Just Imagine him with excellent players to boost.

I know you were a huge fan of Pogba from day 1 and have been trashing Marchisio extensively, but you need to get down to earth on this one.
