It's a pity fans rate a player (much) less when he's on a verge of leaving. I guess it's the needed self-consolation.
That's the most ridiculous thing of this forum for me. Rational peeps turning into bitter retarded exes on a dime. Be disappointed and dislike how it went down yeah, but don't BS and say he isn't all that to lose when he has been big game changer for us.

It's extremely annoying revisionism considering majority weren't saying any of this til now, except past discussions about his inconsistency, no one doubted his top top quality importance.

It's downright sad to witness this 180 on him as a player, dislike the guy for leaving is one thing, but his quality as a player doesn't change because of that...

Most just spent a month laughing at them that they wouldn't get Pogba. Let's not repeat the same routine (not for Man U but Dybalas future in general), however unlikely it may seem, at the end of the day money talks bullshit walks.

No i am not laughing at the possibility of them getting him but the fact that one signing like this is making them so arrogant. Like they've just won the Champions League or something.

Either way, it would become some sort of sick to see us selling our #10 every year :ratcafe:

Even worse than the rating players leaving lower, is the pathetic moaning and doomsaying about how terrible our midfield is going to be. OH my gosh, we're taking so many steps back! This is a disaster! We're never going to be able to compete! Pogba was our entire team! Boo fucking hoo.

Osman calling out people for this, while he's basically been crying for weeks now about how losing Pogba is the end of the world.

Yeah, you're shit is just as ridiculous, and far more pathetic.

I was criticizing him in the middle of the season. I also threw a question about him having any big game performances in CL way before the rumors popped up.

I for example dint bash Vidal when he left us. I was merely making an argument that he left us for a club that has a better chance of winning CL. I still maintain the venom people spit towards Vidal or Conte is pathetic.

I also praised Higuain in the middle of the season but guess what, you get bashed for it.

Sorry, but i have no real attachment towards Pogba. I am grateful towards what he did here but he's been grossly overrated by both media and fans. He still has to justify half the hype he gets. Also pissing on the #10 after he apparently asked for it gives me a legit reason to dislike him.

Listen to them talk. They seem to think Prem title is wrapped up now, and they'll sign Griezzman or Dybala next summer and CL title will be their first season back in it.

We have huge expectations on him exactly because he is a huge player. If he isn't being a game changer routinely for a time he gets criticized, as it should be, because he set the bar high with insane qualities. Very few others can offer this, which is why it's foolish to take it lightly, the quest of replacing him directly as a player. We can adapt as a unit to function in a way that gives what he used to give, but directly replacing his high individual quality will be tough as fuck, as it should be since he is the kind of skill level that warrants a world record fee. As a CM, which is unheard of, and most likely why he might become only CM since Lothar to win the big prize.

News flash they were allways arrogant and will remain so, that's the side effect of extreme wealth and self deluded marketing.

But it doesn't change some us been arrogant too, or more like naive or foolish for thinking there were no chance for this deal to happen for so long, me included. Underrated the draw of major money and attention, even when it goes directly against footballing aspirations / strength.

and start rating players much higher when they're joining Juve, see Higuain.
So tell me, Higuain isnt world class ? He isnt a top 3 striker ?

If Higuain scored 36 goals in a season for Juve, you'd never hear the end of it from majority of Juve fans. But because he played for Napoli, we have to underrate that achievement....

Money aspect aside, i dint expect Pogba to go a season without CL. That was the only reason i felt initially it might not happen but money and popularity of EPL(appeal of United) certainly talks i guess.

You cant blame him for leaving as a number 10. Its our own fault.
I'd say its our fault if we offered him the #10 and he accepted it.

But if he himself has asked for it, you cant help but feel disappointed about his decision to leave only after a year of wearing that prestigious jersey.

I spoke in general but I certainly didn't mean you. Generally said most of what you did back then too (difference is I been patient with Pogba due to his age and tactical immaturity, something that improves with experience). There's a very noticeable difference between rational critique on his flaws and total 180 switch in estimation of a player based on a transfer. The Higuain stuff in particular shows how funny some posters here are...

What's unnecessary sudden is it seems a switch has been turned in the minds of many here as soon as the deal became almost guaranteed to happen. Screams coping mechanism.

Well according to many reports at the time it was us who offered it him.

It's fan culture to underrate players on other teams, and overrate your own... Some do it more so, others less. Rationalizing fandom is stupid.

The reality obviously lies somewhere in the middle. Higuain is a world class striker smack dab in his prime, who has had trouble with big game choking in finals/CL knockouts against top teams.

so we all want him to do better and praise his strengths and hope he overcomes weaknesses in this new environment. There's nothing really wrong with being less harsh with criticism of a player when he plays for your team, and harsher with criticism when he doesn't. It's fandom. You celebrate the successes of your own team and players and laugh at the failures of your rivals. Everyone understands this, so it's amusing when people go apeshit about this sort of thing happening as though it's some terrible thing.

Yeah, exactly.

I think it's pretty much an attitude where one never wants to look like a loser so he creates a bubble of lies to deny the reality.

I said it dozens of times already. I love Pogba, he's an amazing player. He was/is bound to leave this place. Judging his stats and considering his age it's nothing but amazing how a kid managed to do that (plus in Italy where defensive game is rated highly). He reached CL finals, he even played finals for France. He has more talent in his toe than half of our squad. Yes, he makes mistakes, it's quite natural. But he's capable of winning the match on his own with one pass or a goal. He's just brilliant with occasional brain farts and stupid mistakes which might be fixed in the future. IMO his price is crazy high and too good to refuse. Hell, I even have his jersey and I love Juve, but I'd sell him at this point honestly. I also believe that with the right moves this squad can look even stronger. It can be done. But yea, we might even fail it too.

Bottom line: we're losing a gem. I don't care if he's joining Manure, Real or even Milan. I don't know why people now deny the fact that Pogba has been fucking amazing here. Yes, it's not the end of the world, I won't even cry much if he leaves eventhough I'll be sad. But why heck start talking BS how he's not good enough or invent some crap... When he has a pokemon hair people say he's a boss, when he has shit on his hair people say he's funny and has huge balls. But when it happens outside of the club those same people will laugh. Partly Pogba was always an arrogant prick and overconfident which is reflected through his clothes/hair and generally pics. But now all of a sudden people find it sad and not Juve worthy while he was like that ever since he came here. Some players are in the game to win and earn money and that's majority of players. You gotta accept the fact that clubs will also look to cash on it. Same how for people who were yelling their loungs out how Juve are not a selling club and how chances of him leaving are equal of Earth splitting into 4 ways by Ramos' ball from that penalty kick. Now many of those are finding retarded excuses and inventing things. Why not admit to be wrong and accept the freaking reality, I just don't get it.

We used to win. We won with Pogba. We'll also win without him. There's nothing to cry about at this point. But there's no need to spread BS just for the sake of it.
