Going by his past history yeah you are likely right, would hope he has the sense to build the team around him with a 3 man midfield especially after you overpay that much and watch his contrasting performances for France.

To be honest, Mourinho could do a good job or flop terribly. A lot of that depends on how he handles Zlatan's last years and nurturing Paul. Pogba isn't a very mentally tough player yet. Nor has he become consistent yet with top-level performances. He looked like the best midfielder in football for the last 2-3 months of the Serie A season, but we were already out of CL, and had already played our last fixtures against Roma and Napoli at that point, which meant we did not get to see him express that form against top sides. If I were a ManU fan I'd be most worried that Mourinho will make Pogba more consistent, but in a more shackled and less dynamic way.

You should have signed Conte in my opinion. Young, ambitious, and a coach on the rise.

Also we never should have sold Vidal, if you decide to let go of Pogba the next year. Vidal - unlike Pogba - could have been convinced to stay long-term with the right kind of financial offer. The way the midfield was management over the last 12 months isn't good.

The incoming players are not terrible. They cover Pogbas characteristics, as part of more specific skill sets rather than only one of them having an ability like Pogba did. And totally agree about Vidal. He was the one who could finish his career with us, we should've never let him leave.

During Pog's 2014 season, he was still very rough, and not nearly the player he is now. And 2 years ago during our UCL finalist year, Vidal was on a bum knee and played like crap.

Exactly!. Sometimes we fantasy about the 2 being on their prime that was never close to it. When Vidal was on his prime (2nd season specially), Pogba was arriving to juve...and when Pogba was starting to be a key player...Vidal was already drunk.

And even pogba at his very best is a rare sight for the random he is in his performances. Some days he is the lost son of zidane..others he is worst than hernanes.

Theres a reason why he was SO hyoed when he had pirlo marchisioa nd vidal around...because they could carry the burden while pogba could pimp himself with plays. But when things got tought and he had to carry the burden, the guy vanished.

It will be interesting to see how Pogba is in the non-tactical EPL with a drastically weaker defensive shield and midfield. I remember his first game of the season this year when he tried to do so much and was so bad. I wonder if that Pog will return.

That's why I said owe him TOO. I know Juve made him the player he is today. And I am pretty sure he knows it too. The fact he hasn't said anything in order acknowledge the club is 100% Raiola's work. Paul is a young guy. First it was only France on his mind and then, after losing the final it was all about his holidays and clearing his mind. And rightly so. You can be 100% certain that then, because of the ongoing negotiations, Raiola told him to absolutely say nothing. Of course he listens to him. On occasions like the ESPY awards, when confronted with the Juve jersey, he spoke very highly of the club. I am certain he is thankful and would never speak ill of Juve. No hard feelings...
