Lots of star players went from world class teams to weak(ish) teams for crazy money.

Maradona went from Barcelona to Napoli when they were nobodies. Milan were also nobodies when Berlusconi bought them, yet world class players starting going there for the money. Tevez went from the CL winners United to a team that just finished 10th in EPL and just got bought by a rich Arab. Not too long ago Di Maria starred in the CL and won it, just to leave for a Manchester United that didn't make it to the CL.

Well to be fair , Maradona had some issues in barcelona and had to be offloaded, while di maria was offloaded against his will.

It's very likely that he's gone, but this summer has been great for Juve regardless of what happens. Take a look at our squad. It's world class all over the place. If Pogba leaves, we'll spend substantially to reinforce our midfield. Sure, Pogba leaving = midfield downgrade, at least on paper, but I trust that Marotta and Paratici will bring in someone in his place that will be absolutely perfect for our squad.
