It's either this or the player doesn't move (despite rumoured to be wanting out.) The club would not have this kind of negotiation leverage if they were not driving this deal as much IMO, seems mutual. And it's only right to want future sales and bonus clauses, because you're talking about a once in a generation kind of player.
