I don't think that's the way it works. IIRC, a player can only move twice in a football year period.
If Real Madrid haven't registered Morata as their player yet (with whoever runs La Liga), he can move again. Signing a contract with a club does not matter in that context, but players are usually registered right away.

Edit:
OK, I was wrong.

FIFA rules:
Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during
one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play
offi
cial matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player
moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping
seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to
winter/spring) may be eligible to play in offi
cial matches for a third
club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with
his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the
provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the
minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected.

If that's somehow true the media in general should be fucking banned from football stories on the ground it's all fabricated.
'juventus will pay Higuain's clause' -every single italian and english media source and journalist.

With all these new shitty the fucks going on twitter, seems like traditional sewertabloids are upping their game of lies.

MAROTTA: "NO CONTACT WITH MANCHESTER UNITED FOR POGBA"

LMAOOOOO
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta reiterated “there is no contact with Manchester United for Paul Pogba.”
The last 24 hours have seen multiple reports all over Europe suggest a meeting was held between Marotta, Manchester United chief Ed Woodward and agent Mino Raiola on Tuesday.
L’Equipe even claimed today a deal was done for €120m, but Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium note Real Madrid have dived back into the bidding war.
“There is no contact with Manchester United for Pogba,” Juventus director general Marotta told Sportitalia on Wednesday night.
“The situation is no different to when I last spoke to you on Friday.”

FI

Not buying it though...

In case we can get James and a WC CF.. I will sell him (will get Cuadrado back also)

The team will be complete

I will very likely check in on the EPL side of the forum as the season picks up, not really a cultured fan mostly EPL/CL.
