The French midfielder's agent says there is no truth to claims he has been to Manchester to finalise a transfer from the Italian giants
Mino Raiola has told Goal that reports claiming he has met with Manchester United regarding a world-record transfer for Juventus’ Paul Pogba are “bulls**t”.
Reports emerged on Tuesday suggesting the super-agent was heading to Manchester to finalise talks with the Red Devils over a deal which would see the France international midfielder return to Old Trafford after four years in Italy.
But when Goal contacted Raiola, he was categorical in his denial of such reports.
“All of what you read is bullshit,” he said. “That’s all there is."
Pogba has been widely linked with United this summer, with a fee of around £100 million expected to be needed to prise him away from Turin.
However, while Raiola has overseen the transfers of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to United already during the close season, Pogba is expected to take more persuading to join Jose Mourinho’s revolution due to his personal history with the Manchester giants.
Pogba left Old Trafford in the summer of 2012 having failed to break into United’s first team under Sir Alex Ferguson, later explaining he had become dissatisfied with players being played out of position ahead of him in the pecking order.
