We only went to 1 final because we were relegated and forced to sell many of our best players a few years later. We had one of the strongest teams in the world in 2006, built on the foundations of the Zidane deal. Real won in the immediacy of the deal, and then we went to the CL in 2003, underachieved for a couple seasons, but with Zlatan coming into his own, we were set to make deep CL runs in 06-07 and 07-08 with that team we had assembled.
Not with Capello though! We couldnt even beat Arsenal!

why do you calculate the gross salary as double of the net salary? That would be like 100% tax, i dont think anywhere has that high tax, usually its around 50% of the net, which would make the gross around 7.5 mil EUR?

Any source for these numbers?

it's the other way around. in most cases, tax is calculated based on the gross salary, and with all taxes, contributions included, the state gets around 50% of the gross. math-wise you can do it either way, but the tax base is the gross wage.

Raiola: 'Juventus want to keep Pogba’
By Football Italia staff

Mino Raiola says any Paul Pogba transfer “must be run past Juventus” amid Real Madrid links.

The French midfielder has been linked with a move to Los Merengues, with his agent confirming this week that some talks have taken place.

“Will Pogba leave Juventus?” Raiola considered, speaking to Premium Sport.

“Paul has to grow. He’s at Juve now, so any transfer must be run past Juventus.

“I’ve said that he likes [Madrid Coach Zinedine] Zidane, Real Madrid is fascinating as are Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, [Manchester] City, Chelsea and also Juve.”

The Suning Group has completed a takeover of Inter, while another Chinese consortium is in talks to buy Milan, will that change the landscape of Italian football?

“Of course, money matters a lot. But if there are no business plans and there’s no investment it won’t change anything.

“Would I listen to offers from Milan and Inter for Pogba? Why not? My interest is to represent my players as well as possible, so I don’t rule anything out.

“I have to do right by my players.”

The agent also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is currently out of contract and has been linked with Milan.

“He’s told me where he wants to go,” Raiola admitted.

“Could he return to Italy? Hope is the last thing to die. We’ll see…”
