passing and vision definitely yes. Dribbling and defending certainly not. Pogba is very well rounded more than anyone else. But if he is gone who is the alternative? I really cant think of many names I'd have over Kroos.
I can't think of any single player who can do Pogba's job. If he leaves then we need to have at least two world class midfielder and be hopeful they can have the same impact. Those two being Kroos and James? I don't know and I'm not sure whether this hypothetical move works. But I am confident that we're making one of the worst mistakes in modern football history if we decide to sell the most dominant and well rounded midfielder in the world at the age of 23.

Guess the forum
From what I've seen of Pogba I think it's fair to say that while he has done excellently in the Serie A that doesn't neccesarily mean he would instantly come in and set the world alight abroad. When you watch these highlight YouTube montage videos pretty much every time he gets the ball and everyone gives him about ten or so yards of space to shoot in. That wouldn't happen in the premier league, someone like Clattermole or McCarthy would come flying into him and I'm not sure how well he would cope with that to be honest.
He's a huge talent and in 4/5 years he may well be the best centre mid in the world. But as it goes I'd rate Modric, Iniesta, Kroos, Verrati and possibly Thiago over him in terms of proven midfield purchases.
Put it this way if we spend near 100 mil on Pogba this summer and ignore serious deficiencies the squad has then I won't be hopeful for next season.

Verratti is nowhere near the game changer Pogba is. He's a little more consistent, but other than that, Pogba's top level is miles above Verratti's.

And Iniesta. Don't make me laugh. While he was incredible years ago. Not even close at this point.
