Pretty much all football fans I know would rarely go out of their way to say anything positive about Juve (except after excellent CL games), but majority of them have in common in besides praising Pogba's obvious footie qualities, to just randomly mention how much they want him in their fav team because he just seems like such a fun super star type of character.

I think he meant that had Pogba for example stayed at United he wouldn't be the person he is today. Being around guys like Buffon, Pirlo, Chiellini and Marchisio who are all great players but down to earth personalities has helped him remain grounded and grow as a person.
