Not sure how i feel about him getting the number 10. If he left us after a year i would be pissed, but if he left us after a year AFTER the management decided to give him the no 10 it would be demeaning to that shirt and that will be on the peeps who decided to do that.

Me too, I like Gotze for being the kind of top quality talent we can't get when they are already sought after big stars (despite not performing like one), but the player himself Imo is not in Pogbas level of quality and super star potential.
But at the end of it, it's just a normal, and Götze would have fit the nr like a glove, more so than Pogba positionally /style wise.

I just dont see how some could get mad at the board or Pogs for this decition. Its perfect IMO. The only concern would be him staying enought to honour the 10, but everything else is full of win.
This year, he seems to me he has sucked it up and realized that after the big names that left us... he is the next big man. He was already bigger than the 3 who left us hypewise... but they had longer and way more repectable carreers. Now, I see Pogba trying to emulate the greatness of Tevez and Pirlo, and assume responsability by guiding our team and doing that next step as a WC player, being the centre of a WC team.
IMO, i feel he is testing himself, also he is kind of doing this to show the world he is no all hype and just that.
From a marketing POV, this is the best we can do. Much better than giving the 10 to gotze or draxler or anyone new and unworthy. Pogba knows Juventus inside out, and his shirt will sell gazillions of copies. Everyone in the world will know Pogba the 10 of Juve.
Yeah, i hope that his romantic relationship with juve grows stronger, for the time when Barcelona comes he will think about it. Juve should also offer him the money needed for him to stay, and only to him as he is a special player worthy of being the exception in the wage table.
Its the reality, but lets have hope that something can be done. Maybe turning Pogba our marquee dude and winning with him, could be the last step needed to be recognized as a top team again by the millions of football sheeps around teh world.
I hope he is intelligent enought and responsible enought to be asking for the 10. It would let a lot to be desired if he took it for hype and then leaves for BArcelona in a year or 2.
